I had a fabulous experience at the International Clinic Koh Samet while traveling over the holidays. There was almost no wait time at all to see the doctor, and he spoke very good English. He quickly diagnosed my condition and began treatment immediately. I had to pay out of pocket for services (to be reimbursed by my health care company when I got home) but it really wasn’t that expensive considering how much care I received. I was so relieved to encounter such good services while abroad!! It is also only steps away from the pier. Thank you International Clinic!

This is actually not only a scam money exchange, but they also have the only "hospital" or medical clinic on the Island.
I dont know why they try to hide out under a money exchange name, and dont use their fancy name "International clinic" as their sign on the door says.

But anyways, long story short..

My wife ended up here after getting an injury.
Ten minutes of cleaning a small wound the bill ended up at 6000 baht. And they refuse to take insurance. Any insurance. And demand cash payment. The women in the counter is very rude. She demanded my wifes passport because we refused to pay cash without getting recipt. After four hours my insurance agency (together with thai agents) told the clinic it is criminal to not take the insurance, and that they most obey the International laws and understandings.
After four ours of terror, we finally got the passport back. The Insurance covered it.
Now, some weeks after, I got an overview from the insurance company saying the treatment was 2000 baht.
Stay away from this place! This is a rotten Apple!
If you get sick, take a speed boat to ban phe instead. Trust me!

I was really impressed with the service/treatment I received here. 5 days previous I had a crash on a moped and received multiple wounds which became badly infected. I attended Koh Chang Medical Clinic International the previous day and was treated very badly. The doctor there was extremely ignorant telling me he hated me and refused to clean my wounds. He then proceeded to tell me everyone from my country (Ireland) was now banned! after this awful almost frightening service in Koh Chang it was nice to be trated so well and with such high respect in The Money Exchange in Koh Samet. I can't recommend this clinic higher. The doctor and nurses were friendly and professional through out and now my wounds are almost completely healed. Thanks again guys!

This place is outrageously priced. For a simple dressing of the toe they quoted 1200 baht. We obviously refused as we had already had dressing done in Bangkok for 230 baht. We decided to try the health clinic 200 yards up the road and their quote was 140 baht. Avoid this place at all costs.????

treatment was ok, but very expensive. for foreigner they charge about 60% more than for thai, for the same treatment, and even for thai its already very expensive

Very professional and friendly. Good with children and excellent English speaking (for a not-native speaker :-) Price conform international standards and we were well informed about price, medication and possible follow up.

Very bad exchange rate!!! It is better if you go to the ATM!
