Stayed there 2 years ago. Very friendly hosts. They offer tours and cooking classes. Facilities are very clean. Since it is somewhat tucked off on a smaller side street it fairly quiet. Location is still very walkable to many places of interest.

Pleasant stay here in Chiang Mai, in a great location, 5/10 minutes walk from everything. The staff were extremely friendly. House keeping daily, with free drinks/water. Everything was clean and tidy but we found that our shower smelt really bad every time we wanted to use it for about a minute or two so had to leave it running until it went. Other than that everything else was great, they let you borrow bicycles for free if you want and offer services of transportation if you need a transfer. Laundry available too.

Stayed here for a couple nights over new years while in Thailand for our honeymoon. The staff was great from checkin to checkout.

We had a private room on the 3rd floor. The shared bath was nice and always had one of the 2 rooms open.

We lucked out having such great outdoor space and sat on the outdoor deck to ring in the new year and watch the beautiful lanterns rise above the city.

Would certainly stay here again if returning to Chiang Mai

The Ghee House was wonderful. We stayed in a private room with private bath for 2 nights. Maroon (spelling?) was so helpful when we arrived from our LONG travels. He suggested a great place for a Thai massage and a delicious dinner. He provided a map of the city and showed us how to easily access the places we hoped to visit. His recommendations on which temples to visit were spot on! The hostel itself is clean, quiet, safe, and everything you need for a trip to Chiang Mai. We appreciated the bottles of water upon arrival, and the toiletries that were an unexpected surprise. Maroon taxied is to the airport for a flight out quickly and easily. Everything about our stay was wonderful. I would recommended the ghee house to travelers of any kind!

Such a great stay!! Quiet, calm and very well appointed. Got so much help from the staff, they were so amazingly hospitable and helped anytime. We booked a private and it was spacious, nice and the AC was perfect. Bathrooms were very very clean. Really nive stay, indeed it felt much like a home while being 5 minutes from the old city. Will for sure stay there again.

Great hostel! Wonderful hosts who are willing to help with any request. The rooms are clean. Very secure property and a quaint common area to sit and enjoy coffee and conversation every morning. 10 minute walk to East Gate.

Perfect location, very close to several bars and retaurants and to the old city center and to the night market, but a quiet place. Rooms are clean and fresh, comfy beds. The staff is so friendly, helpful and nice and booked everything for us. We really loved our stay and would definitely recommend it to everyone. Thank you for this great expierience. This was one of our top places in thailand.
