If you want a fantastic social environment, great vibes, and memories that will last a while even though they'll be clouded by the phenomenal amount of alcohol you'll consume, this is the place to be. It will be more expensive than other hostels, and you'll spend more money on pub crawls and other things but let's make it clear that it's well worth the friends and fun times.

The staff here are fantastic, you'll have friends the whole way through, and the owners are seasoned travellers. They've done a fantastic job at making Bodega what it is. If you get a chance, come to Chiang Mai during Songkran and stay here. Both the Party and Thapae Bodega are party hostels. They'll always have joint events so don't worry about which one to stay at, this one does have a great pool though.

The beds are fantastic, the rooms are fantastic and if you want a quiet night, you can have that too. 5/5 would recommend.

Great hostel. I loved the staff and the food is delicious! Nice and hidden from the busy streets so sleeping is easy. Shower facilities were really good and laundry service is quick. Bar crawl is fun, too. Music is always good. Highly recommend!

Great place with a pool to boot! Staff was accommodating and the beds we're super comfy. Lockers are a great size too. Lital made me feel so welcome, like we had been friends forever. Can't wait to come back!

Great place to stay. Rooms are clean, there are lots of activities, the food is good, and the location is convenient. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, but a few were very cold and lacking basic customer service skills. I was very disappointed that the pool was freezing cold because that was one of the pull factors for me when booking!! Overall, I would recommend this as a place to stay because it has a really nice chill, social vibe.

I was in Chiang Mai twice and never booked this hostel, i was always at the party bodega. When i would drink at night often i would get confused and end up accidentally at this bodega without a booking or payment. I just want to say i am eternally grateful that twice it happened that this bodega hostel gave me a place to sleep when i turned up very drunk and they were so kind to me, checking if I was alright and never expected payment. If i come back to Chiang Mai i will absolutely stay at this hostel. It is immensely peaceful, when I have woken up I always feel safe and comfortable. They have books for you to read, a great looking pool, breakfast. All of the above. Thank you Thapae Chiang Mai Bodega ❤️

Definitely the best pub crawl and hostel in Chiang Mai! Staff is great, and rooms are SO clean, make sure you find Becky at the pool, shes quite magical! Danni is an awesome manager and always there to help with any questions, don't forget to say F it, and get the bucket!
