This is a true gem that shouldn't be overlooked. It may look closed from outside and slightly abandoned in the inside, but once you walk in and start exploring the complex you ll be amazed, and i am not just talking about the donald duck statue.
The level of detail all around the garden, stupa and main building is impressive. The architecture and style are also slighlty different from the other temples in Chiang Mai.
Unfortunately you cannot walk inside ( or at least i couldn't at the time of my visit )

Such a beautiful temple yet not mentioned so much online! We were there at 6pm. Literally no one was there. Very nice.

The small, but beautiful Wat Buppharam is my favourite building in Chiang Mai, on exterior looks alone. It makes a great photo, but be sure to 'lose' the tall mobile phone tower in the background, which can ruin your picture.

Having said that, there are additional features within the temple grounds, including a range of exotic statues.

This is a tiny lovely temple. decorated some cartoon figures( donald duck something like this)
for average tourist, I think you may like to spend half hour here. If you really like buddaism, maybe you would like to stay in the temple and enjoy the inner peace.

The beauty of this temple is ABSOLUTELY stunning. Has a life on the way up...must be extremely respectful (obviously), shoes off, and you absolutely must stop here! You can see the gold from the airplane before you land! Its on the biggest mountain in Chiang Mai and is around 800 years old! Absolutely loved this place.

A really nice temple with not too many tourists inside. You don’t feel overwhelmed so you can take your time and admire the architecture and art. There are many chairs and benches under the shade so you can sit down and rest while taking in the sights. Its free for Thais bit 20 Baht for foreigners.
