Good looking ramen shop with most of action upstairs. They offer special deals for lunch on a weekly basis and have very good set lunch in few options. Taste is decent, when compared to a cost. Portions are generous, we did not finish all. Fast servings, so no time wasting during lunch time.

Good place but not perfect.

Long cooking time (First dish served after ~20 mins) The ramen soup is good. The chicken skin skewers are too salty but the more i chew the better it gets. Just kept thinking every time i took a bite that it’s too salty. Gyoza is also good. The ginger smell in this one is quite strong tho but if you like ginger then should be good.

Overall, good place to try but probably not going back unless someone else want to go try also.

More exact rating will be 3.5 which taken into account their friendly service. Their bbq food especially the chicken skin skewers is good and for the ramen; although we tasted better ones, this is reasonably close to authentic Japanese ramen we tasted in Japan. While the noodles are pretty hakata original, I find the soup base lacking in depth, reckon probably is a matter of personal preference. Their fried rice is too salty but my uncle likes it. Well..

Been missing wonderful vacation in Fukuoka lately, especially food in Hakata. But luckily being in Bangkok, whatever food you crave, you can find it with little effort doing research.

Uma Uma was one of the top Japanese restaurants in my bucket list for months now. So glad to gave it a try otherwise I’d missed out, big time.

I went alone but wanted to try as many dishes possible so of course I ordered enough food for 3-4 people. Not wasting time for sure.

Chahan and handmade gyoza were such great starters, absolute perfection on seasoning. Taste identical like what you’d find at ramen shops in Fukuoka (Japanese ramen chefs usually mastered at cooking chahan and gyoza)

Yaki ramen came out looking like typical yasai itame but I was wrong. It’s insanely delicious, perfectly stir-fry vegetables, nice amount of garlic combined with chewy thin noodles. Same type of noodles you find in traditional Hakata tonkotsu ramen.

While Yakitori-don was nice. Beautifully grilled chicken and precious crispy chicken skins.

Chefs here are local Thai people but they clearly mastered their craft and understanding traditional Hakata style food.

There’s nothing to complain, not at all. Hope Uma Uma will continue the good work for many more years. I will recommend this place to many friends!

Perfect place to get Hakata ramen style with the signature Tonkotsu soup. Uma Uma is both Ramen and Izakaya style restaurant. Really recommend for the Original Tonkotsu and Garlic Tonkotsu ramen, other side dish like fried chicken and chicken stick is also good. Price is reasonable. There is no parking here but you can park nearby Plasarnmit plaza.

3 stars for food and 3 stars for service. Very reasonable price and nothing fancy. Recommended for quick meal. $$

You might want to order something other than ramen.

It comes out in a cloudy soup called Tonkotsu with Hakata noodles as like as Diluted instant noodles.

The soup should have been boiled down to half its original volume, but he serves it in its diluted form or perhaps he does not know how to make it.

It is a pity that the signature ramen is that spoiled, because the customer service is excellent.
