A good place, inside there are many exhibits located in about ten halls. I liked it the most The Lacquer Pavilion - small building with awesome gold and black mural paintings.The entrance ticket costs 100 baht. The museum is not very popular, so there are usually not many people here. It is not allowed to take pictures inside the museum, but you can take pictures of the museum territory. The territory of the museum is not very big, but in my opinion it is a good place to rest from the noise of the city and the heat.

A Prince's and his consorts' residence: in case you are looking for some quiet moments in this hectic part of town, this is the place.

The buildings house a museum with many valuable artefacts of ancient Siam, a number of rooms showing the presents made to them personally, their living-room, bedroom etc.

Today a lady will show you this place and tell you in English about its inhabitants and its history. Before you were allowed to discover it on your own.

Enjoy its quietness and atmosphere.

You cannot take any photos inside. Before you could.

Outside your selfies will reflect the mystical atmosphere of the Cabbage Museum - built in a former cabbage field.

The entrance fee is 100 Baht. You need not book your visit. We went there on a weekday and we were the only visitors.

Located right in the middle of Bangkok metro is a private-own wooden Thai house turned into a small museum called Suan Pakkad Palace. It was once a rural area of Bangkok where Chinese people in Siam grew cabbage ( in Thai " Pakkad").

A royal family built a traditional Thai house here with big nice lawn and a fish pond. Coming here, you will be walking back in time when Thailand was Siam.

It costs 100 Baht to enter and seems to be way off the foreign tourist trail. This is a history museum with old foreign and Thai artifacts. There are also 8 traditional homes which can be visited. No photography is allowed inside and it's quite breezy and in the shade. Not great for little kids but slightly older ones should find it somewhat interesting. Good English signage

A lovely collection of Traditional Thai Architectural Structures, eight houses containing artifacts inherited and/or collected by Prince Chumbhot Paribatra.
My favourite building is actually the small Lacquer Pavilion brought to this site and restored in 1959. The mural paintings inside this small house, using gold on black lacquer, are magnificent.
The back of the site is overlooked by the BTS line and seems strange to see the trains passing overhead, a real contrast between old and new as are the Skyscrapers surrounding this place.

Great place to visit if you have time! You'll get to enjoy typical Thai architecture and an impressive collection of shells. However get there early because you'll need about 1hr/1hr and a half to visit !

Lovely environment and excellent private collections of various archeological and cultural products of Thai origin. Not crowded, hence you can stroll around the well maintained structures and garden at leisure.
