When we arrived after a long journey, we were told by the owner that the lady who normally does the check-ins "would arrive in 30 minutes". The owner was rather monosyllabic and not very friendly. When we went upstairs, we were greeted by a foul stench, coming from the bathroom. It was covered with a lot of mould. On our balcony we found a used and wet towel from the previous guest(s). The "check-in lady" knocked at our door at 11 pm and woke us up to ask if we were smoking (that was not the case). The owner seemed to care more about drinking beer with backpackers than running a decent hostel. We could not sleep during the night, because some of the guests were shouting at each other. Worst of all: we felt very unsafe during the night and we were afraid that someone would come into our rooms, because the lock was so flimsy. We only paid 9 euros per night for a stay, but it is not worth this low price. Do not go here, unless you want to have a really bad experience.

Conveniently located hostel with a relaxed party vibe. The dorm rooms are great, super clean and spacious. The rest of the hostel is not as clean though, and the common room on the entrance floor could use a bit of work. Nothing to complain about though, and in some way it gives the place character.

If you are a backpacker that likes to party but still sleep whenever you want, this is the perfect place for you. The bar in the hostel is very affordable, and it's a great place for a pre-party.

My only real complain is with someone in the staff that made noises and turned on the lights in the dorm room in the middle of the night, which was just very rude and weird.

The room is after 5 flights of stairs, every bit of noise from the street and from the hostel itself is heard inside. The beds are shaky, so every one that goes on either of the bunks wakes the other one up. Mattress is thick but uncomfortable, and the upper bunk has no railing. Other than the poor infrastructure, we were not assigned beds when we asked, and had to guess which bed was available in the dark. We didn't get towels when we asked.
The beds were unclean and dirty.
The staff was very friendly and nice tough.

DO NOT RECOMMEND

Below average to average hostel. Very disorganized. Bed I was assigned had someone in it at check in. On my 3rd night they put someone else in my bed and moved me to another bed. In the morning, the guy sleeping in THAT bed came back and told me I was in his bed. Cleaners come in multiple times early in the morning (7:30AM and then again at around 9:30AM) BEFORE checkout and start changing sheets. Doesn't make any sense since not everyone would have checked out. Building is quite old and in need of repairs and renovations. Toilets and showers are not the cleanest and located outside so they are swelteringly hot. The beds are very shaky and squeaky. Mattresses are too thick so the safety rail on the top bunk isn't actually useful to stop someone from rolling off. Staff are nice but that's not enough to recommend staying here.

Its located at prime location near Khao San road. The hostel is taken over by different owner. I had requested for late check in, but no one was there, no notes though they apologized me next morning for the inconvenience. The dorm room was on 3rd floor and the door was making noise while opening and closing. Cleanliness should be pe improved. The staff was nice and kind but they don't understand English well. Price is cheap. There were only 2 more people when stayed. There are many better hostels in the same area.

We stayed one night at the Twins hostel. We arrived around 5:30 PM and our key was just hanging on the wall with our name. No one to welcome us, so we just went straight for the room. Room was fine, Air Cond working, confy bed. Bathrooms we're OK at top, they could put more care to it. Included breakfast was toast and jam. Could have been better for the 9$ night, we had better for less elsewhere. That said, for one night it did the trick and we slept well. Wouldn't stay too long tho.

It's a pretty good hostel if you're looking for the true hostel experience. I'm surprised some poeple have said it wasn't that social because I thought it was one of the most social hostels I've stayed in. The twins are really friendly and gracious hosts, they make you feel like you're at their house party. The party runs 7 days a week from 10pm-6am (at least the week I stayed there) so it was quite loud. The beds are extremely hard and the wifi is pretty weak above the first floor. It's a nice location though, Khao San Road is easily accessible and so is the grand palace. If you want to have a good time and don't mind noise, I'd say it's a good option.
