Way too expensive!!!
We ordered a big bottle of Leo and asked for some slices of lime to put inside. In the end we had to pay 200 baht in total, 165 for the beer and 35 for the lime we got. They didn't put the beer on the menu, if we knew before we would have never went there. Also they didn't tell us they are charging extra for a silly small lime, especially 35 baht that's more than ridiculous!
In the end that's 6,50€ for a beer and a lime...

Maybe I'm there at the wrong time. Saw a bunch of nice menu but was told that the restaurant is close. They have lots of beer, all kinds of beer and have to walk across the street to buy a bottle of water.

Not sure if it's consider as a hotel. I ask the price of a room and was told that it's a hostel. The whole place is rather run down.

The place itself is not so special. Ac is only on at 20:00 so during the day it is way to hot. The price is okay and beds are comfy. But for the price you can find better places around!

The owner showed up the next day and raised the price without notice because the low season was over, strange.

The American guy at the reception was really nice though! He helps you out!

I really enjoy BaanBangkok. It's a family owned business and the woman are lovely. They have two locations; one is a quaint hostel with craft beer at night - and live music on the weekends! The other is 5 minutes away and is a cozy guesthouse. Both no more than 10-15 minutes walk to major tourist spots and public transportation. They have a taxi service that they can help you arrange day trips to places outside of and inside Bangkok. Both places provide free (cleanu0026cold) water as well as linens if you need a towel or blanket. Rooms have lockers, fans, and A.C.
Some showers don't have hot water but I cant understand how hot water in Thailand is a plus anyway. I would never choose to take a hot shower in Eastern Asia, it sounds awful. Cold showers all the way.
I also really like that the dorm rooms have boards at the ends of the beds for extra privacy. Definitely reccomend.

Big Shout out to Oliver! He really made staying at this hostile special. He gave us maps and highlited things we would be interested in seeing and how to get there. He helped us get good taxis. And, he stayed up late for us on our first night.

The room I stayed in was nice and clean. It had an AC unit and wall fan we could control freely. The beds only had a plywood board at the head and foot, so sleeping wasn't very privet, but there was a locker that you could use. The toilets and showers were cleaned daily. There was soap and shampoo in the showers, but the water pressure wasn't very high.

There was wi-fi, a water filter, and coffee for the guests to use freely. And, they offer a reasonable menu of food.

I usually don't write negative reviews but for a ridiculously small portion of average pad thai I had to pay more than the price in the menu. Disappointing experience for my last night in Bangkok.
