I booked this hotel via Booking.com for a reasonable rate and arrived here in the afternoon. It is quite a steep walk from the pier and exhausting.

The staff is friendly at check in and the room is neat but basic. The view is gorgeous!

If you want a cheap stay with a nice view, this is the place to be!

REALLY NOT RECOMMENDED IN EVERY ASPECTS!!!

Traveling to Thailand with my girlfriend, we booked the room at the View Garden "No Resort but Guesthouse" for the cheap price and some good review.
Getting off at Phi Phi Island it took us 30 minutes walking with suitcases to get to the hotel, surely located in an uncomfortable position.
After a not cordial welcome, we arrive in the room that by smell and look, it seemed anything but clean. Only one positive note, the beautiful view from the terrace.
The time to put the luggage in the room, we realized that the bed was dirty, sheets were broken and not clean, the air conditioner leaked water, bugs on the ground and even a litter in the closet!
The next day we asked to have the room cleaned, when we come back in the evening, absolutely nothing was cleaned !!!! In addition to the uncomfortable position, dirty room, even teased !!
The only good thing about our stay is that we only stayed 2 nights!
We are traveling for 3 weeks, around the country discovering Thailand, and this motel is definitely the worst ever found!!!
The only advice I give you, even if you want to save money, better spend 100 Baht more per night than to choose a hole like that !!!

Very nice room and friendly staff. Best place we found on Phi Phi.

Very cheap (I paid just under 500 baht/night). Aircon which works. In a quieter area of the island so you can actually get sleep if you want it. Shower is ok. I *think* they cleaned the sheets :-S. This is very very very budget. Bed was uncomfortably hard. Also it is in a part of the island where you have to walk past their "constructed wetland / sewage works" which is rather smelly. There are posh hotels further in this direction too though so paying more doesn't guarantee you avoid it.

I would recommend paying more for somewhere better.

Also note this is called View Garden, not Garden View (yes really).

Nice and clean modern rooms in a quiet area not too far from the market. The reception doesn't look as nice, don't let that put you off!
