I booked this hotel because of its central location without seeing some of the reviews here and was a bit worried when I checked the reviews shortly before arriving. My worries were unjustified though and I was very satisfied with the value for my money. My room on the first floor had nice wooden furniture and was decorated to my liking. The staff was very friendly and polite. The room was clean and cleaned every day very thoroughly. They even left some chocolates on new years eve.
2 of the windows are at the side of the door, so if you open the curtains on that side you might have less privacy, but there's another windows (that I didn't see initally) on the other side with a nice view to the street. The aircon was quiet enough for me to sleep. The walls are a bit thin, but aside from one morning there were no noisy guests so it wasn't a problem.
They have a 24/7 staffed reception, although the staff working in the night is probably more for security and urgent queries, so you should try discussing matters with the staff during the day. They spoke English well and could help me with all matters and questions I had.

It’s quite clean, good service and located in a very good location. You need just 3 minutes walk to the Sunday market. And 400 meters walk to Chiangmai gate for breakfast. Now the hotel is about to renovate for better rooms and facilities. The price is super reasonable for such a location. Only one thing I don’t recommend this hotel is the lacking of parking lot for cars.

The location is right in the center of Chiang Mai’s old town. You can go anywhere in the old town just by walking or renting a bike. The staffs are nice. A smooth check in. The room is a bit old, but clean and comfortable. Worth the price.

It's very comfortable to stay here. I was impressed with good perfor***ce of all people at the reception. Only very basic bathroom accessories are provided for guests. We took a short walk out and found some lovely Thai breakfast. The guesthouse is not the cheapest around but you get a lot for your money.

The price is great for travellers on budget. I would certainly recommend the hotel/guest house to anyone. The staff were really helpful and friendly and offered to help us confirm our arrangements for our trip the next morning. There's a music school of some sort behind the hotel and you'll be up early if you're not prepared.

Its really close the hometwon n easy to go to sunday night market. The room (deluxe) was nice with a balcony facing the street so not very private. There is a school nearby that can be quite noisy with assembly and band practice but it didn't bother us. The complimentary breakfast was decent but nothing to write home about. The price of the room was very fair.

We were warmly welcomed in this small, yet lovely decorated hotel. Breakfast could be ordered over and above the room rate and it was really delicious. De Racha***ka is located right in the middle of The Old City so you can walk anywhere you need to go. Great location and good price/quality.
