Interested to see a Buddhist teaching class in progress when I arrived. Not too much to see on this site, but the Assembly Hall is open and worth viewing. Beautiful gold inlays on the window shutters of this building.

Very close to city center which makes it worth stopping by, but it’s not anything special compared to some others.

There are many temples in Chiang Mai, but this is one of my favorites. It is also off the beaten track from most tourist programs, making for a quieter more peaceful visit. One of 75 temples located inside the Old City, this one is popular with locals and Buddhist devotees in particular, as it contains the Fon Saen Ha Buddha which is over 1,000 years old. The temple meaning translates as “10,000 drops of rain” and it plays a central role in the annual Lak Mueang festival or Inthakhin Festival, when the Chiang Mai city pillar, which is kept in Wat Chei Luang, is venerated. Worth adding to your must visit places, particularly early mornings.

Today we went to all the temple's in Chiang Mai. In one word just beautiful but you've to see them for your self. The best one was for sure Wat Chedi Luang. Only at this you've to pay 40 bath entry fee when most of them are free. Still worth it though. In some of temple's women are not allowed to go inside like in the Silver temple but still you can watch from the outside. The surroundings are also very beautiful.

Excellent to visit during the Sunday market. Lots of food and drinks to be had.
