Whilst meeting some friends in this area, did a quick search and Deck One came up. reviews looked good so decided to give it a try. Staff were really pleasant, you do have the choice of sitting inside or if not too hot can sit out on the veranda overlooking the Ping River. Menu has a good choice and price pretty reasonable. Opted for the usual coffee and Dessert

There are a number of quite pricey restaurants along the river. This one was more like disappointing than other. We spent around 3000thb for these food and some drinks and dessert during our lunch. They were all in small amounts, which was not a problem, but honestly the quality and taste of the food is quite below average (for the price it offers). Atmosphere is good but you can find that in many other restaurants along the river.

The presentation and environment are great, but when it comes to food, the the quality isn’t what you get. Some of the local and street food have better flavours.

Note:
- so much mosquitoes (inside and outside)

-The appetizers came around 20m after ordering, right after we finished, they brought only 1/3 main dishes! Then we waited close to 15m to get the other 2 dishes.

-The pad tai was a daily must plate, but this place ruined the flavours.

First time at Deck One and very impressed with the restaurant design and layout, eagerness of the waitstaff to please, excellent menu choices, pleasant atmosphere on the outdoor decking and high standard of the food. We tried the fried chicken salad, crab and coconut soup and the Hanglay coated rack of ribs. Absolutely delicious.

To say I was a little disappointed would be an understatement.
Yes, it's nice to sit outside and watch the river.
Yes, the seating is comfortable.
It was a bit underwhelming.

The staff were pleasant, when they eventually appeared. And there were a lot of them, just not giving service.
We weren't asked if we required drinks.
Condiments had to be asked for from the passing waiter I had to wave down.
We weren't asked if we required anything extra after our meals.
They never came to check on us and we were there 2 hours.

We ordered the Spaghetti with Spicy Northern Sausage and the Fish and Chips.
The spaghetti was of OK size and yes, very spicy.
I do not understand how the chips, frozen crinkle cut, could be larger then the fish.
5 tiny pieces.

It was expensive for what we got.
It was disappointing.

It’s a very nice restaurants to enjoy some brunch and Thai-Western dishes. They have seats by the river, suggest making an appointment in advance to get the seat with nice views. Khao Soi Chicken is great, worth trying.

Good food a bit pricey but good! It was unfortunate there was heavy rainfall we could have enjoyed the view of the river.
