What a gem of a hotel! Warm welcoming helpful staff.
Room was very well equipped. Huge shower and bathroom. Most probably the most comfortable bed and pillows in all of Asia!
Breakfast had a really good selection.
100% would stay again.

Great hotel in a great location. It's a business class hotel, with a okey Swimming pool. The breakfast does have much other cuisine options. The only worst thing is that one cannot and do not have the access to different floors or you cannot visit your friends or family,s room as because the hotel will give you access to your own floor. If someone visits Bangkok, there could be more excellent options near by.

Stayed here the night before my last trip. The rooms were very clean and in great condition. I was surprised by how nice the hotel is for the price point they offer. Would recommend to anyone visiting Bangkok. The location makes it more expensive to leave the hotel area compared to other areas, but I would still recommend.

Unfortunately there is nothing left from the grandeur  of the great old Solitaire from 10 years ago. After a major renovation it has become a 3 star Hotel. Nothing special, cheap furniture, bad maintenance,  room cleaning reduced to the absolute minimum. There was some rubbish left from the former guest behind the bin and even after cleaning next day, this rubbish was still not removed. The rooms, which have become much smaller are very noisy, and it is easy to hear your neighbours actions.The downtown location is still good and the staff is nice. Won't be back again. Bye-bye Solitaire.

Took an hour to check in due to the booking with Agoda not matching hotels booking reference, hotel made me sort out it out at reception desk in front of other customers as I had no phone call credit on my holiday sim card. I asked for a no smoking room and large bed in booking and room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, the bed was two singles pushed together on a double/king mattress. Walls are thin, I heard a couple shouting at each other from next room. Mini bar was empty despite price list being present. Otherwise location was good and shower was nice, ironing board and iron, tea and coffee, gowns and slippers and bathroom toiletries, modern TV. Gym, pool, restaurant and bar though I never used those.

The service was very good. Whenever I had a request, they followed up quickly. The breakfast is decent, with a lot of choice including an omelette station and meat and cheese section.

Room is large
Breakfast is decent
Super fast wifi (150 Mbps)
Decent location
Big restroom and shower

Bad:
Smelly in lobby and hallways
Outlets have blaring red light bulb
Lights do brighten up room enough
Construction right next door
