Free but not so free?!

So basically they keep giving you the wrong order after making you wait for over an hour. Not just one day, consecutive three days. I did what any sane person would do, stopped going for the “free” breakfast.

Day one, got food with a worm on salad. Showed it but no apology given by the cafe’ staff. Day two, gave me wrong tea though I specifically asked otherwise saying they don’t have that though I told them I drank it just the other day. “No madam we don’t have that tea, mistaken” but is served to the customer who comes after me who happened to be my husband. Okay, third day I get wrong tea again though I showed them the label of the English breakfast tea they have, they got me Early grey again. Pointed out the mistake but didn’t get tea nor breakfast up until after 40 minutes when I complained. Mind you when the waiters want to ignore you they cannot even hear you calling them while next to them.

The day they got the tea order right I didn’t get a spoon, I asked the waitress over four times. She went on attending to other customers next to me but didn’t bother to bring me the spoon. I had to go to the cafe’ counter to get a spoon. I believe that there is much discrimination here for people of colored skin. She was least bit apologetic when I mentioned if I should be using my finger to stir the tea since she cannot get me a spoon.

The front office staff are excellent.

So, not a very pleasant experience. Do not recommend.

Very old, tired dated Hotel.
The location is good handy to many bars restaurants and malls. The rooms are basic, nothing much provided no dental kits, no slippers, no bathrobes, no face washes and the towels are old and scratchy. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are very small.
Only one dispenser on the world which is supposedly holding body wash shampoo and conditioner that is nothing more than a poor quality body wash. The tiles on the floor in the bathroom the anti-slip has worn off them as with everything in this hotel it needs so many things replaced and needs a major refit
The breakfast is way below standard and hot foods is left sitting there cold.
There is no pool and the corridors smell musty.
Many far better options for a hotel in the area

Have just checked in here and their AC is not working on a sweltering afternoon. Each time one calls the reception since four hours am informed the engineer is working on the roof...!! And will be restored by evening. It's evening and no sign. Then they offer me a free checkout after having paid the amount upfront. Then they say will give you a discount for the first day....the issue is i don't want to look around for hotels now and waste my time. Please think twice before booking this place..am regretting it big time.

The Holiday Inn Express Sukhamvit 11 is located right in the middle of the tourist area with plenty of hotels, bars, restaurants and shopping malls all within walking distance.

Unfortunately this hotel is very old, dated and well in need of a serious refurbishment.

The rooms and the furniture are old dated and uninspiring.

They offer a safe, free water tea and coffee making facilities and not much else.

There are no dental kits, shower caps, face washes, slippers or bathrobes.

There is one of those useless glass front bar coolers which they advertise as a bar fridge, however it has no temperature adjustmentand  it doesn't keep anything cold; It is completely useless. I don't understand why a hotel chain of this size wastes money on ridiculous coolers which simply don't work! they might as well throw them out and advertise there is no cooler or bar fridge rather than with misleading advertising because they simply fail and then nothing more than a waste of money.

The Wi-Fi is terrible and drops out and lags all of the time.

They have an LCD TV with an extremely poor selection of English speaking channels which again is surprising for a chain like the Holiday Inn. They were all sorts of stains on the couch, which should have been steam cleaned and removed and unlike any others Holiday Inn I have stayed at the housekeeping is less than acceptable and they never made up my room before 4:30 in the afternoon. A lot of improvement required here.

The beds are comfortable but the rooms are dated and unfortunately I was bitten a number of times by bugs in the room. When I did report it staff did send someone up with some bug spray, but the bugs returned in this had to be done daily. Some of the floors had a terrible musty smell in the corridors.

There is no swimming pool and the gym is located up through a dingy fire escape up on the roof. This hotel is in serious need of major refurbishment and really needs to be gutted and rebuilt and quite simply it fails in most areas compared to a number of other hotels in the area.

They were bugs in the room and creatures crawling out the walls in the bathroom. I had housekeeping come with some repellent and spread the room but each day the bugs were back again. Not a very pleasant experience.

The staff and lovely and friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast is very poor quality and substandard. The food that is supposed to be served hot is somewhere between barley warm and cold, and I notified the staff about this but Beach day it was the same. They also had pastries but I suspect they were the previous days as they were quite dry and stale, and there was a very limited option of food available in the breakfast buffet. The next day I went for breakfast again the eggs and sausages were cold so I brought this to the attention of a staff member who walked out the back and brought me out some more cold eggs and sausages. What dismal customer service. I lodged a complaint and spoke with the manager and on the last day they cooked my breakfast to order which was hot and much appreciated.

The bathrooms are very small and the showers have just average water pressure about 5 out of 10 and the water pressure fluctuates a lot if someone else is using the water in other rooms and does this happen as the water pressure would drop to 3 out of 10

Considering the variety and quality of hotels around in the area this hotel is expensive for what you get, or more to the point what you don't get.

I would not recommend this hotel and apart from very friendly staff I found it to be a very disappointing Holiday Inn property

I had to search for the driver at the airport for my Airport pick up as the driver was not carrying my name. Check in was too easy and fast.
My room package was with two meals per day.
They just kept my meals outside the room without informing and its was very cold as I did not eat it.
My booking was for 2 days paid in advance before arrival but the receptionist charged me for my second day (the front office manager noticed the double chargees payment and she refunded the amount to my credit card).
This hotel is good for the location only as its easy access to the restaurants, bars, food stalls and nana area.

Perfect hotel for all types of customers. Whether you are traveling for business or summer vacation, this hotel is the perfect destination for those who want to stay in the center of Bangkok without worries. The beds are very comfortable, and the bathroom have hot water for a relaxing shower. I am happy to have chosen this hotel as my first accommodation in Bangkok.

For a chain hotel, they definitely need a lot more improvement! Stayed for Test u0026 Go quarantine, they didn't have a set schedule for the meal time. It's always late and hence I have to call several times and ask for the food/bento ( food was cold due to late delivery). It usually takes a long time to get hold of the reception desk. The room is OK, a good space and the bed is comfy; however the bathroom is not very well cleaned. Just not very impressive with quality when you paid for the package.
