Bangkok is known as a foodies kind of town. Trouble is most of it is lacking in one way or another. Oskar did not disappoint. We slid in without a reservation and underdressed. Wouldn't recommend anyone to do the same. Place was just getting busy. Bar was full. Our waitress, Pum Pui, was very professional in her approach and demeanor. We ordered a variety of dishes. Really good wine selections by the glass or bottle. Lots of cocktails to choose from. Beer options were few. The menu was reminiscent of the late 90's. Before science got involved with gastronomy. Portions were larger than I was expecting. Everything was wonderfully balanced and agreeable. For anyone worried about the price points, my recommendation is that you make a reservation, have a wonderful meal with better than average service, leave a big tip and enjoy your evening!
