Wow, where do I even start? I’m actually shocked the hotel has this high of a rating. This hotel is really not bad by any means, the staff try their best and I can sense the incredible level of their care and concern, however, management needs to change.
Everything here costs money, and I am not complaining that it is expensive or whatnot but it is the sentiment behind charging guests for the most minimal and mundane things such as 150B for a soap bar or 50B for ice refill (when majority of top hotels provide free ice) and even charging for WATER, Why not include these in the booking/room price? Charging extra for small items is ridiculous and makes the experience very tedious and annoying. It shows how the hotel is stingy, cheap, and values money more than guests’ comfort. Forgot to mention renting a scooter is B199 for 1 hour of riding around the hotel...ridiculous.
Also air conditioning was broken.
On my way out, I also witnessed a group of guests complaining about the EXACT SAME THING, maybe it’s time for a change?
In all their efforts to try to appear as a “luxury” hotel, it still seems very unprofessional and you can tell it is independently managed. All the hotel does with guests who have had bad experiences is just apologize. It is like slapping a bandage on a crack. This hotel is 3 stars at best, and its “4 star” rating is a slap to the face of other more deserving, truly luxury hotels. The insane price is unwarranted for the lack of direct ocean access, quality of the rooms, service, and overall experience.
I will definitely not come back here.
