After visiting a whole host of lunch and dinner locations over the course of 10 days, this restaurant rates as our best when considering the quality and value of the meal. The owner was a chatty Thai gentleman who had lived in Paris for many years before returning and made all the cocktails himself.
We ate the following items for lunch:
- Chicken Satay - A staple of thai cuisine, we had been disappointed by some variations of it in other establishments, but here it was tender and flavourful without being oversalted (as we had found in other restaurants).
- Shrimp Cakes - Having seen them on some other menus, we thought we'd give them a shot here and were very impressed. Crisp on the outside and packed with generously sized chunks of prawn.
- Yellow Stir Fried Noodles w/Mixed Seafood - Although I'm often not a huge fan of thicker noodles, the dish had enough sauce to coat each mouthful and not overpower. All elements of seafood were cooked perfectly, the prawns and squid especially.
My fiance had a Pina Colada which was the best of the trip, providing a good hint of booze and pineapple but also creamy enough that it wasn't watery, which was an issue we'd found all over.
Food was served promptly and we would have stayed longer if we hadn't got some activities planned already.
It's not down the main street, however it's only 5 minutes away by foot and is absolutely worth it.
