Really cool resort that’s on the water and in the jungle. Really large room with a nice balcony, breakfast was included and surprisingly great. AC worked great but only had cold water to shower. We booked a partial sea view but couldn’t see the water from our balcony unfortunately. The staff weren’t exactly the most welcoming upon our arrival either. A bit of a walk out of the way from everything so it is nice and quiet but bring a flashlight and bug spray if you plan to be walking back late at night! We enjoyed our stay but there were definitely areas that needed improvement!

We have stayed 3 times at Great View. The location is right in the jungle and with an amazing view. The pool area is very beautiful with infinity pool. The restaurant at hotel is amazing and serves authentic and delicious local dishes. For convenience boom boat and taxi through the hotel. The warmest recommendations, we’ll definitely come back again????????????

This place is great from top to bottom.

We stayed in one or the Deluxe Cottages which was very nice. The bathroom is virtually a wet room and looks very modern and almost in the jungle style. Very well done. The cottage was comfortable. Nice bed. Nice size. Great view from balcony too.

The pool was very nice and cleaned every morning. The area around the pool was clean and tidy and nice. Showers provided too before you go in. Nice infinity view pool.

Breakfast was buffet style with options. Wasn't the best selection but OK. The juices were not to my taste but that's my preference.

It's a little bit of a walk from the pier and in the heat its a bit of a killer. If you're prepared enough you can get a free one way taxi boat provided by the hotel though I belive you have to pay for the return journey or you can get a taxi boat ferry from the pier for around 100B per person.

Because of how its built, and where it is, you are climbing a lot around and theres lots of random slopes and uneven surfaces so if you're not good on your feet, maybe advise against this place.

Overall great place.

One thing to mention the private beach which they have it may have just been when we went (June) but it's not so much a beach. There's no where to actually sit or go and it's scattered with litter everywhere. Broken glass bottles. Plastic bottles. Wrappers. Shoes. Big rocks. Random plastic tubs. So this may get cleaned in tourist season but it definitely wasn't suitable to sit when we were there. Not only that the water didn't allow you to sit there as it was up the whole time. When the tide does go back, its still wet so not for sitting and relaxing.

Good resort in itself, general services like reception, ferries for free pickup/drop are great. Location wise is awesome, just 10 min walk away from lot of shacks and small shops. The only place where they lack greatly is restaurant services, it closes 7pm which is too early compared to anywhere that I have seen. Plus the restaurant caretaker English is not even manageable, it's sign language only.
I may recommend and visit again but will only get food from outside resources.

The only way to get to this hotel is by boat. However the tide is low twice a day and if that is the case they take you to a separate dock far from the hotel. Do they offer to help you with the luggage that you dared bring with you on vacation. No they make you drag it up a hill for no joke 20-30 minutes by yourself.

A hotel that does not help with luggage is not a hotel. It’s hostel. And a hostel gets one star. Read other reviews to see what else is wrong with this place.

Couldn’t decide between 3 or 4 stars but decided to go with 4.

Cons: Service on arrival was a little rude and the “partial sea view” means that you are looking at the trees. Far from the main area relative to other hotels (15-20mins depending where your room is) but the path was decently lit up at night. Showers were cold only and we heard scratching in the walls at night

Pros: Room was big and pretty clean, breakfast was good, and they have a boat that will take you from the hotel pier to Ao Nang pier.

Beautiful place, in nice area. You can reach it by boat from the east pier or you can request taxi boat from the hotel. They doing very well! Also with booking is one way transport for free which is very nice.
The room/ cottages was nice, big, comfortable with nice air-condition. All bed have a net so you are safe from the mosquito.
We had a breakfast buffet in this place and was very nice. Some fruit, some hot meat, pancake.
Lunch and breakfast is a a la carta but is not the biggest choose of option.
Good swimming pool with a lot spaces to chillout. (And a lot of mosquito).
Stuff is very friendly and helpful.
