Would highly recommend this hostel! From when we checked in, the staff were so welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with sufficient plugs, lights etc. They had well organised events and offered great suggestions for activities to do around the island. The staff were amazing and great fun, especially Liv, Izzy and Rachel!!!

The stairs to get to the hostel are quite the trek so get ready but worth it for the view. The front reception is hard to get ahold of out of business hours. The blankets smelled like moth balls and the bathroom was in pretty rough shape DEFINITELY in need of some work. Party vibe for sure so stay away if not for you. They also keep your passport for “immigration” purposes.

The stairs can be a killer but once you get to the top you never wanna leave anyway. Decent pool, unreal views and ice colds bevs. Staff were fun and there’s always something going on

Blanco is definitely the livliest hostel with bice atmosphere. It has a pool and a bar for people to meet and hang out. The rooms though are a bit nasty. The AC was dripping causing the floor to be all wet, there was mold on the ceiling and the bathroom looked like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. I'd coke again if I could check the cleanliness of my room before checking in.

Terrible experience. The owner of the hostel came was viciously banging down the door at 2am. When he was let in the room he turned on the lights and woke everybody demanding to see our keycards. He compensated us for the room but the way he acted was completely insane. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great stay at Blanco. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. I'd stay here again

Cons:
- Dorms were fine though warm with no control over AC
- Challenging set of stairs to get up and down from the beach/street but not too bad.
- Paths to rooms/dorms were poorly kept and maintained, making them a serious trip hazard and unwalkable barefoot (ie to go to the pool)

check in is taking 45+ minutes.. I'm okay with waiting, just didn't expect it to be this long. I guess it's because guests come all at once by the same boat. Still I think things could be done faster tbh.
