You have to set your expectations right for Ko Phi Phi. We have booked 3 nights in another hotel in the island, but after one night in the island we are realised how ‘downhill’ this island has gone to. Extremely noisy and rowdy, we realised a way to get away was to find a nice pool and relax. Yes, the hotel has seen better years. It’s dated, and needs updating. But the pool is amazing, with beautiful views. The higher price is a way to filter its visitors. But you’ll find difficult to find anything better in this location. It’s a little off from the extremely loud bars (goes until 2am), and we slept without a problem. When we both became ill, it was great to have a comfortable room, with strong AC and a nice sea view. Totally worth the double booking. Steps away from the beach.
