Great place for local coffee u0026 breakfast. Recommend soft-boil egg with Patonggo (donut stick). Pan egg is also good. The bread that serving together is so crispy. Hot tea is free for self-service.

Good u0026 economic breakfast for all. Have a breakfast here, lookinhg at morning passed by!! One of it's kind in Chiang Rai. More or lease become a land mark now.
The owner started the breakfast business with yellow truck originally. The shop name in Thai mean "Chiang Rai yellow coffee truck".
Yellow truck had been serving both local and tourist with simple u0026 cheap Thai and western breakfast, traditional Thai coffee or fresh coffee grow from local mountains. Is quite popular for local pass by, tour from Suknirand Hotel. Owner play guitar and sing folk songs to entertain client some times and provide local travel info too. He does spoke good English.
At time of writing owner had decided to upgrade the age old worn down yellow truck to a green recon VW van.
This place is easy to find. Right in the town center near clock tower on the side of Suknirand Hotel.
Latest up date 12 Jan 2017. The owner had switch his VW van back to referbuidhed original trade mark yellow truck. Popular as ever.
2018 more local folk having breakfast on the way to work. Menu been updated with new Thai breakfast.
From sometime 2018, relocated to new location today near clock tower atu200b theu200b u200bjunctionu200b ofu200b Jetyotu200b roadu200b due to renovation of Suknirand hotel.
2019 mid March au200b new shop (pink color wall building) isu200b open across the street from present location.
2022 shop across the street had been closed. More table are setup at the old location.

Nice place, only seems to be open in the mornings. Plenty of seating in the shade. Next to the clock tower so a good idea to be on the hour when the clock chimes. Prices are cheap. I paid 25 Baht for an iced coffee with milk. I'd already had the free breakfast at my hotel so no point eating here for me.

Looks like the yellow truck has transformed to a shop now. Food and beverage were okay, not fantastic but I guess people visited due to popularity. Free Jasmine Tea provided. Employees were able to speak fair amount of English, easy to order the food.

Super friendly owner. cute boss, he will sing whenever he is free. nice coffee. Local thai brekafast.

Simple breakfast for 40baht. Taste was pretty normal, nothing fancy. Very close to clock towel and the owner speaks English which is a plus point. Menu available in English ????????
