One of the very best music venues in Chiang Mai. Not particularly comfortable seating, but the music is usually of the highest quality with a superb basic house combo. Tuesday is the most popular night with a sort of open-mic setup.

The crowd spills out of the venue onto the road, but if you walk through the crowd to the back, there is access to a second floor, often not full.

The sound quality and acoustics are really good here. There are now two bars which is a big improvement, and drink prices are average.

Highly recommended.

I’ve been here a couple of times over the past few years. It’s a chill dive bar with live jazz and other types of music. Sometimes the band plays more pop-style music or more atmospheric, layered stuff, but they also play a fair amount of jazz standards and have fun soloing. The alcohol prices have come down in recent years, with everything being under 200 baht now. They have a second floor where you can watch the band from above.

Dang, North Gate Jazz is the place to be! House band with no cover, great music that changes nightly, and plenty of local talent that swings through regularly. Drinks are cold and plentiful. Lots of space for sitting, ground floor and second floor sitting area. Come early and pick up the best seats in the house.

I went on a Saturday night. It started quiet but gets quite crowded around 9pm til the end. It’s not really jazz but the atmosphere is ok. It’s open space so a bit hot though. Going through the reviews it sounds like Tuesday is more fun. I’ll come back and check it out next time

Amazing live music!!! Not a big place but here has a relaxed and casual vibe. I went there with a friend at night, we both enjoyed so much, by the way, there was a buy 1 get 1 free for Umeshu promotion that night which was perfect to us.

A place is usually overcrowded, so you might want to go there before 8pm to get a seat.
I go there every week and it's always different bands. My favorite is Fusion Mania and Chiang Mai Blues.
I would like to see a board with all the bands' names, to promote local musicians and also, please, fix your sound system as it is very hard to stay there for longer than 40minutes. It's TOO LOUD.
But other than that, a great place, make sure you check it out if you're in Chiang Mai.
Fusion Mania performs every Friday at 8pm and Chiang Mai Blues on Sundays at around 9pm. It might change, but that is just my observation based on my experience.

Great live music, the place gets busy at the weekend so better book in advance; don’t expect much from the drinks though (only beers, house wine and cheap mixed drinks are available).
