Welcomed by very friendly staff who were very helpful throughout our stay. The value was pretty good although it would have been nice if breakfast was included and you could probably find a comparable room for less outside the city walls. A great way to stay a busy day of touring.

Lovely room with balcony at back of hotel. The shower had no screen and would thus wet the entire bathroom/toilet but the floors would dry within a couple of hours. About a 10 minute walk to everything you need. Air conditioning only goes on when you are in the room but it was very powerful.

I eat breakfast here when I don't want to eat Thai food for breakfast. They've got some good american style breakfasts here for good prices.
Good sized portions too.
I think it's the paneang curry I've also tried. Whatever it was called though, I remember it tasted good.

The staff are friendly. And the atmosphere is nice.

Bonus points for the free Wifi and toilets.

We would recommend it to any of our family and friends traveling on a budget to midrange level in Thailand. Perfect walking distance for Sunday market. The room very clean and the cleaner lady make up the every day. I would recommend this particularly to couples who can do without frills or a pool who want to see the city and have a quiet atmosphere.

We came on this by chance and we liked it so much we returned the next day. As a former hotelier myself i rate the Queen Vic very highly and definitely worth the money. The brand new owner is a delightful *** and an ex-pat from Geneva. The staff was always very friendly and helpful.

The Queen Victoria is located inside the city walls and only a 10 minute walk to Tha Phae gate where all the restaurants and bars are located. The room was cleaned and serviced every day. You get what you pay for at this lovely little place. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place.

Cashew chicken had so much white pepper on it, I almost couldn't tell it was on par with the version sold at food courts in malls back home.
Also the coffee was weak. Partner didn't even try finish her latte. ('tasted like toilet water')
Attentive and friendly staff. Tidy.
