Good enough. No air conditioning. Lots of flies. I'm not a vegetarian, so I made sure to order the omelette to at least feel sated to some extent. It was great, but the waitress misunderstood my order and gave me the vegetable omelette. I'll call it a happy mistake.

The curry was rather sweet, but still good.

I recommend ordering in Thai, or using Google translate, as even the tried and true method of pointing didn't work with 100% accuracy.

Be careful walking on the boards outside- the darker ones are rotted, and one that I stepped squarely on cracked and broke from my weight, my foot plunging below.

It is a bit hard to find. It is inside the Wat Suan Dok temple just next to the backdoor (entrance for motorcycle or people) If you come from the front gate, the restaurant might be blocked by trees or cars.

So far, I tried some dishes including yellow curry, green curry, pineapple curry, pad Thai n Hed Satay, they are all delicious. The price is quite reasonable as well.

It is one of my favorite vegetarian restaurants in Chiang Mai.

Away from the tourist trail this vegetarian restaurant is well worth a visit. It's located in the grounds of the Chiang Mai University, next to a Wat. Lots of delicious vegetarian food to choose from. Food is freshly prepared. You can sit inside or outside.

So I've been in Thailand for few years now. Lots typical flavors and dishes are getting stagnant to my palate. However I was at suan dok temple and introduced my gf to pun pun. In 2015 this was most popular vegetarian place, by 2018 trip it was as popular. Now again 2022 I'm happy it still here. Quite peaceful and some most tasty vegetarian food I've had here. Prices are reasonable at 50 bhat. Food portion smaller, but taste is so great I don't mind. Well worth the visit.

Good lunch. Muslim salad (salad khaek), sesame tofu salad, 'roti' and indian curry, and phad thai. All yummy. Quiet and simple place in Wat Suandok compound.

Several years back, I travel to Chiangmai with the main pupose to visit Punpun.

My visit to Punpun slow food eatery at Watt Suandok inspire me to start "Kampoeng Kasih".
Very grateful for the short chat with the "Architect-Chef" who lead the eatery.
I am so sorry for not able to remember his name.

I still remember his promise, that I may contact Punpun for help to establish organic simple slow living center.
