I never thought I would give a review for a McDonald's, but the whole point of going to a fast food restaurant is that it's fast. If food is going to take much more time than usual, the standard action is to inform the customer. Today, my kids' food took well over the usual amount of time, yet we were not informed. There was no language barrier, as I ordered in Thai and the staff speak conversational English anyhow. In addition, there were hardly any customers, including none in the drive-thru. I had to leave without my food in order to not be late to my next destination. I even honked my horn a few times (gently) and the staff noticed, but no one came to the window. It's simple: Inform the customer so that they are not inconvenienced. You can keep my 144 baht!
