I stayed here for my last week in Chiang Mai around the end of October.
The staff here are friendly and can speak moderate English. Icon square is closeby and it's about a 15 minute walk to Nimman road.
Do not book this hotel based on the photos off of the website, because once you arrive you will realize the hotel doesn't resemble them whatsoever.
Unlike what the other reviews said, the pool was clean but cold. Air condition in the room was great. The cleanliness of the room was minimally acceptable when I checked in. There was still an old cigarette butt stuck in a crack in the wall above the toilet when I first checked in. The room was supposed to be cleaned everyday but was not (it was erratic). Room was quite small and cramped. I paid around 600 baht a night and for this price range there are better options.

I liked this placeu200b alot. The pool was in the shade so we never swam it wasn't hot enough to. But clean, super nice staff. The deluxe was a great huge room. Only thing was the balcony was a pigeon play ground full of crap. And the location is a little out of the way. But we really liked walking to and from the city only bad thing was crossing that huge road everyday was taxing. But yes I would stay there again.

Nice and quiet but in a pretty location to the centre. The hotel is in an old 1960’s hotel, most of the public areas have been renovated and tastefully so in a modern style. The team was great. The hallway on our floor (9th) was partially outdoor, so it echoed and we could hear people walking and talking during the night/early morning.

Room were smelly and had weird arrangements and leather blankets. We walked out when we saw the rooms. Very disappointing if you expect to get what is displayed on the pictures. Front desk help was not very helpful and language barrier was making everything more complicated as we were trying to cancel our stay. Save some money and go stay in a hostel at this point for 200baht a night and you'll get better service

I have been suggested by Asian Plus Travel that Lavender Lanna Hotel is the most hot gay hotel in Chiang Mai. Rooms were clean and oddly decorated. Adams bars is directly opposite the Lotus but I was not keen on the pushy amercican ***agement who just push guys on you.

I was dreading my choice to stay at this hotel once I had the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. The price is very cheap that I paid only 550 Baht with a standard room. The place needed a major refurb and nothing seemed very clean. The hotel staff has been most kind and respectful.
