My wife required surgery to remove a cyst. We visited Chiang Mai Ram hospital and had a very positive experience.

The doctor was professional yet empathic and understanding towards my wife’s fears. There were also translators who can converse in English and Chinese. And the waiting times were short.

The surgery went very smoothly. The ward was spacious and nurses very courteous. It was even better when the overall cost came in cheaper than what was forecasted by the hospital (honest).

Would highly recommend.

Visited on December 19, 2021 The inside of the hospital is cleaner than the outside and the staff are friendly. But I've been waiting for the doctor for two hours now. I respect the doctor, but I can't wait for them. Especially for sick people. I hear a part-time doctor is coming, but he doesn't.

I attended RAM on 05/01/22 for a PCR test as I was flying International.
WOW!
The staff here are super.
They apologised firstly to me as there may be a wait as they were busy.
From entry to the Hospital, to check up, doctors consultation, payment, PCR swabs, to leaving, all done within an hour.
They called with my results within hours and the next morning my documents were waiting for me at the counter.
This is an outstanding Medical Facility.

I've attended Ram 3 times now.
Once last year and again yesterday. 31/03/21.

This is an excellent facility.

From arrival at the front door and having Covid19 temp check, to check in at reception, to being escorted to Pathology, having Blood Test, then to see a Specialist.
ALL STAFF are polite, friendly, understanding, caring, respectful and professional.

The Hospital is Spotlessly clean.
Covid19 1 metre rule applies in all areas.

Prescriptions, if you need medication, are filled on the premises.

I wouldn't go anywhere else for Medical Treatment.
This place is great.

Came for PCR test. Thb3000 per person, adult and kids same rate. One day process, next day before 11am is available. Day 1 took about 1 hour process, 2nd day 15min waiting to get the result. Friendly service. The hotel next to it is closed down. Stay elsewhere if you plan to stay.

Have not been here for years and will certainly NOT be going back!! They charge you for breathing their air! What a rip-off!! Better to go to Govt. Hospitals, great service u0026 more often than not, the same doctors. Very disappointing! The Doctors u0026 Nurses are great so no complaint there.

My husband needs a minor surgery and sent his CT scan to this hospital for a quote. He also asked other hospitals for a quote.
This hospital quoted a very high rate, even higher than Bangkok Hospital, which has newer facilities and a more recognised international brand name. All the other hospitals quoted an overnight stay for observation after the surgery. This one wanted my husband to stay 4-5 nights.
I don't know if this is because my husband is a foreigner. Or whether this is a special rate during Covid times, when Thailand has had very little medical tourism for 2 years, and some hospitals have to make up their losses.
But I would advise avoiding this hospital, especially if you are a foreigner.

I was involved in a moped accident in Pai recently and got rushed down the same day to Chiangmai Ram hospital for further treatment. I had to do a pretty advanced surgery on my leg which resulted in me staying in this hospital for 8 days. During my time here, the doctors and nurses were so incredibly friendly and all spoke English to a good level. The doctor that was looking after me explained extremely thoroughly how he was going to operate on my leg which led me to trust him completely. After the surgery, of course having my own worries and such I sent the xrays around to some of the doctors I know from home and all of them said it was an excellent surgery so hats off to this doctor. Regarding insurance, they were on the front foot at sorting everything out and efficiently too. All in all, out of all hospital experiences I’ve had in my life, especially in foreign countries this has been one of the/ the best hospitals I’ve been to. I have full faith in the staff and doctors and will be forever in their debt.
