Didn’t stay here but visited for lunch. Pizza was not great but the honey toast was nice. Prices were not outrageous. The grounds are highly decorated for, what I assume, must be photo taking areas. A bit overdone for my taste almost to the point of being gaudy. But if that’s your style, then you will have tons of great photo ops available to you here.

Previouslyu200b this famousu200b house is own by a rich men. It design was one of it's kind in Chiang Mai. Beautifull and eligent. Look like a european castle.
In ancient war, many soldier fought to death by the remainingu200b city wall ruin opposite the hotel defending Chiang Mai. Thank to them we are able to be here today.
This house was empty for many years due to local superstition, until 2019u200b it was developu200bedu200b into a hotel. For those who are curious about previous history can google search below

We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They helped us book a ride to the airport, and answered any questions we had about the room. The hotel itself is large, elaborately decorated, and just too beautiful. And the rooms had lots of space and were very comfortable. The location is already convenient for those who want to be right in the Old CityWe would definitely recommend this place, and would certainly stay here again!

Lovely small hotel in Chiang-Mai. Pool area was lovely, small but big enough. Rooms were spacious and pretty and bath rooms extra lovely. Breakfast could have been better. Location was bit off from busiest areas. Lot of stairs, so some rooms can be difficult with small kids. Very local feel!

The hotel overall was great but it did have some flaws. If I could give a 4.5 that’s what it I would give. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast is very basic and not really great. The lighting in the room was poor and the pillows were waayyyy too fluffy/large. We had to sleep with the throw pillows to sleep comfortably. Also the laundry was very expensive, so I would recommend finding a cheaper place in the old city for laundry.

My friends, and daughter and I stayed at the Pingdoi last week for 3 nights. A driver was waiting for us as soon as we arrived at the airport. The staff is excellent and very nice. The reception area of the hotel and the hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful. The hotel provided generous quantities of bottled water, soda and juice in our room at no charge. Our room was large and very nice as well. My traveling companions and daughter had flights to continue their travel in the morning and mine was in the evening. When I inquired about transportation to the airport, I was told there was a free shuttle. I assumed that it was the typical beat-up mini van that included several other travels. Turns out it was a brand new black mini van with soft leather seats and I was the only traveler. The receptionist and door person escorted me to the van. The traffic outside of the hotel is very intense. The security guard for the hotel, stopped the traffic so that the van could exist without waiting. On the way to the airport, the driver played really soothing low key guitar music. I felt like royalty. What a great way to end my stay! I also want to mention that we booked an extra night so that I could have a place to hang out until my evening flight. When we booked it, I knew I would be checking out early and not staying overnight. When I checked out without staying for the night, the hotel staff was very concerned that something was wrong. I assured them that all was fine and that I had intended to check out early all along. They seem like they really care about their service. I do want to mention that the hotel is not right in the thick of the old town. Getting to the old town and attractions is not a problem though. It's easy to jump on one of the many buses that go by. And it's a quick ride to where ever you want to go. You can also walk as well. We would definitely stay here again. Great price and wonderful boutique hotel experience.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The staff was warm and helpful. The room was stunning, too. Breakfast is plentiful and very tasty. And the bathroom is so nice! It's tucked away in the corner of Old City, so it's also convenient. This was a very nice "splurge" for our trip, and the price was still very reasonable.
