This hostel is absolutely amazing!! The price is great and there are so many great perks for staying at the hostel! 5 baht water! Awesome breakfast, great atmosphere and location and above all just amazing service! La is the greatest host that I've ever had! So helpful, he takes care of you like you're his family! We even had a hostel family dinner where he cooked an amazing meal for us for free! (Not sure if this is a common thing or we where just lucky! But it was great!) he also finds the best tours for the best price and knows his city so so well! Also 50 baht off for renting scooters! So many great things to say about this hostel I give it 10 stars out of 5!

Lovely hostel with a fantastic and helpful owner. The breakfast was totally worth the 50 baht, boiled eggs, toast, pancakes, banana loaves, fruit and coffee/ tea- all you can eat! Our room was clean and had a nice, private washroom with soaps provided for only 600 baht! My only complaint is that the bed was rock hadd and it was pretty loud. Still though, a great deal for the price with lots of thoughtful touches.

Super friendly staff, simple hostel, locsted in the centre of Chiang Mai. The hostel itself might not be the most modern one I have been to during my travels thrpugh Thailand, BUT it's clean, the people there are cool and La, the owner, as well as the rest of the staff is super friendly and helpful and they make you a decent breakfast in the morning. Would definitely go there again!

Walls are paper thin, you feel like you're sleeping in the middle of the street. Breakfast was not nearly worth the extra 50 baht it cost (boiled eggs and some bread, mostly. Oh, and lettuce). Tons of mosquitoes in the bathroom. The bed was super hard, essentially a thin mattress sitting atop a stack of wooden forklift pallets. The host was helpful, but I got the impression that he was trying to sell us stuff (he was definitely getting commission for the tours he signed people up for...).
There are tons of hostels in the area, I'd look elsewhere.

This is the greatest hostel I've ever been to, and I've traveled 14 countries in the last year!
La is the nicest hostel owner you can ask for!
Last night he got us cheap tickets to go see the fight and before that we all had an amazing family dinner for only 50baht each!
Today, he will be taking us to the lake for a couple hours. Everyday he has something special he does for you.
Everyone here speaks Dutch so that makes it a little difficult for me being American but the Dutch are awesome people! I'm Dutch myself, Hoekstra is my family name lol.
If I ever come back to Chiang Mai I will definitely be staying here again and again! Great atmosphere!
Oh and he makes you breakfast everyday for only 50 baht!!
And water is only 5 baht.
Towels are 10 baht to rent.
They make your beds everyday for you.
I can't say enough good things!
I'm just surprised I could even find a bed without a reservation!

Best staff ever. friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast for 50 bath per person. Comfortable and big bed in the dorm for couple. I can highly recommend...

Great location, beautiful room with private bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful, above and beyond. They offer an open air community room with books, outlets, and breakfast. I would recommend.
