We stayed for just over a week and enjoyed it. The front definitely does not look as fancy as the picture and there is some wear and tear in the rooms. But it was comfortable, our room felt roomy. The staff was friendly. Our reservation that we made did not include the real breakfast but we were still offered free cereal and coffee. The pool was a bit small but very nice (well maintained garden around it) and clean. We used it several times. Just a short 10 minute or less walk is a small night market that has some good food. Then a 10-12 minute walk takes you to the big Saturday night market and about 15 minutes (different direction) to the even bigger Sunday night market. We walked all over from the hotel and thought it was in a convenient area. I would recommend it.

Rendezvous Classic House is a SHA+ hotel that had very nice and friendly staff that is there to make the stay great.

The hotel is a bit more on the retro side - door locks with keys instead of keycards, no phones in the room, aircon takes about 10 mins to cool the room and it has a retro interior design. Despite the look, the rooms are generally clean and have great upkeep.

The only downside is that the water kettle in my room is rather old (and a little dirty) and I would prefer that the hotel get a new one instead. Additionally, not sure if it is just me or my room, but the aircon may have emitted a very slight sour smell at times. At first, I thought that it was my own clothes, but despite moving everything to the balcony, I still smelt it, so I think it might be the aircon. However, it does not pose a big problem for the stay. The toilet area is also on the smaller side, and I tend to sit side ways.

Features in the room: mini-fridge, dressing table, side tables with lamps, clothing hangers, toilet separate from the shower area, as well as the balcony (we got the room with it).

Note that toothbrushes, body lotion, and hair conditioners are not provided in the bathroom. However, they do provide body wash and shampoo (which smells nice to me). There are 4 towels provided in the room (probably one for swimming (yes, they have a small pool). There are no bedroom slippers.

The balcony view (from our side of the building), allows me to view the sunset in the evening. Although, as the hotel is only 4 stories tall and closely located with other residential buildings, it would be best to close the curtains when not viewing out, as others can easily look into the room.

When making a booking, I requested adjoining rooms and was notified that the request has been approved. My expectation was that the two rooms would have a door between them to join them together. However, do note that adjoining rooms are different from connecting rooms. Adjoining rooms mean that the rooms are next to each other, which was what the hotel assigned to us. It was great that they were able to accommodate our request, which made communication easier.

There are two breakfast options to choose from every day, which we order a day before. Since we are vegetarians, we requested no meat and no alliums (no onion, garlic), and the hotel was happy to adjust the menu item for us.

The staff are friendly and responds quickly. If required, they can also assist in booking transport as well, which they did for our trip to the airport.

Since we needed a pre-departure Covid-19 PCR test for our flight back home, they also helped us to arrange it. When the hospital was late, the hotel staff also helped us to call and rush them, being really helpful in this manner.

The hotel is within walking distance of places like convenience stores, massage places (Chinola Massage), and the night market. It is also a 10 mins car ride to the airport. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Rendezvous Classic House. Would recommend a stay here.

A nice small boutique hotel.
Staff are very friendly and helpful and speak reasonable English.
The bedrooms, whilst not luxurious are clean and comfortable with decent showers. Our room had the most power outlets I've ever had in any hotel room in any part of the World!
The hotel has a small swimming pool(much smaller than it appears in the photographs) which is fine too cool off in but not much use if you want to swim.
There's little parking around it so could be a problem if you drive to it.
Breakfast is cheap and has a good selection ranging from bacon and eggs to more traditional noodles and rice.
Is well located for walking to many places.

Great little place. Tucked out of the way in quiet lane with lovely pool and reception area. Very clean and comfortable beds. Staff were delightful. Breakfast delicious with good choices. Close walk to temples, massage and choice of eating places. We loved our stay. Fully recommended ???? Sunday night markets in Chiang Mai were fantastic!

This hotel is well placed, south of the old town if you like to walk around, it is fine. We stayed three nights at this hotel and the room we had was ok and comfortable.
Negative points for people sensitive to noise, the air conditioning is a bit rustling, but we slept well without.
What is really poor quality that needs to be improved is the breakfast, no fruit, American basic coffee, only basic lipton black tea while there are plenty of excellent teas in Asia. It's a small lunch to choose from dishes, the ones we tasted are disappointing, the rice overcooked, without any taste of fried rice, and the eggs generally well, but sometimes too cold and undercooked, the bacon seemed pre-heated.
In conclusion, the breakfast to review absolutely as it is the least good we have seen in a long time in this range of hotels.
On the other hand the staff are helpful and lovely, and I want to thank Miss Toy for her help and these many tips and recommendations. She's adorable, thank you again!

This place doesn’t look like the pictures. It’s an okay place to stay but if you are booking it to be able to enjoy a pool day I’d advise you to go somewhere for probably half the price as the pool is incredibly small and does not get a ray of sun during the day, which makes it fairly cold. Since we got engaged and wanted to treat ourselves we booked this place despite being more expensive than others that had the same facilities in the area.
We tried to cancel our reservation (excluding the first night to not cause too much trouble)and get a refund (based on the reasons above) but they refused to do it or provide alternative options like partial refund, etc. so I wouldn’t rate the service highly either.
