OK so this restaurant isn't exactly on the cheap side but the food and service are top notch, the barman also makes killer cocktails of his own creation (proper ones, not the sickeningly sugary ones the hotels will sell you at the same price) - try the peanut butter cocktail! I had an Aussie steak cooked to perfection with possibly the best mash I've ever had... Would definitely go back.

I still dream of this place! By far the best food we had in Thailand, or anywhere for that matter. The drinks were super fun and tasted as good as they look. The food was phenomenal - definitely recommend the madame croque!

Food and wine were DE-LI-CI-OUS! The panna cotta is the best dessert I've ever had in my life!!! The prices were justified by the excellent quality of the food. Highly recommend!

Booked a table last night (St Valentine's Day) as something of a treat, we had been there several times over the years and had enjoyed it immensely, we didn't know it had been taken over by new owners just seven months ago but we were soon to find out.
The entre's were Scotch Egg which was dry and cold, the Scallops (three off) wer good and the highlight of the meal. The Rack of Lamp turned out to be three Lamb Chops which were dry and only just edible, my Steak was bullet proof dry and defied my best efforts with my knife, the very polite and helpful staff did replace the steak but the second was tougher than the first so I gave up.
All in all a shocker of a meal and a total waste of an evening, could I respectfully suggest the new management make some urgent changes as I fear they will not last long if they continue as they are, there are far too many reasonably priced and decent eateries on Samui. We are one couple who will not return to The Larder for a repeat of last nights debacle.

I still question why was this place given good rating. Food was inedible. Burger was way too dry and overcooked and too think to have any flavor. The fries were raw on the inside. Tamarind prawns was featured as a special and it tasted like eating pure sugar. Very disappointed in this place.

However , the peanut butter martini was phenomenal.

Charming Western-style restaurant with a great menu selection. Slightly on the pricey side but the food quality is excellent, as is the wine and cocktail selection; and, when compared with what you'd get for your money back in the UK, you're getting great restaurant food at gastro-pub prices.

Food was okay. Was missing basic flavours. We had tuna tacos, friends spring rolls, salmon and “famous” fish and chips. Had to ask for malt vinegar which is strange since manager is English. Ordered the soufflé but was told they pre-cook them ahead. Unfortunately taste lost in an effort to speed up the preparation time on this dessert.

Rumor is that there is a new owner so quality has gone down. Drinks and wine selection was good and very clean atmosphere.
