We stayed there for four nights during rain season. Occasionally the electricity was not working, due to storm, which was always fixed within hours

Pros:
- very nice infinity pool
- private beach
- friendly staff
- great and super fast cleaning service
- nice resort area with great plants
- nice balconys with sea view
- good breakfast (4 choices, see foto attached)

Cons:
- small bungalows are indeed very small, only fit a bed and fridge, no wardrobe, no chair or anything
- big con: shower was just a hose above the toilet so that each time showering whole bathroom + toilet turned wet
- bungalows seem rather old and used, would make use of some renovation
- rather pricy compared to other accomodations
- sea is quite flat at this point, you have to walk a while (10 minutes or so?) till you are able to swim

First off, on Google it's BAY VIEW.. on other travel apps.. it's LAMAI BAY VIEW.. even more confusing when your taxi takes you to the wrong one.. be aware that there are 3 properties on Koh Samui with the same name... Be sure to get the correct address for this property.

Set against the leafy green hills of Lamai hill, with a recently improved access road (according to the taxi driver) makes getting to and from this particular property a breeze.

The hotel has had several guests in the time that I was here..some for a night and others for a while longer. Most nationalities represented, including Thailand as guests during time.

The rooms are charming and cozy and most importantly.. the Aircon works. All the required accoutrements.. kettle, flat screen TV .. in room safe.. you get the idea.
Some features might have their own unique quirks and ways of use, but it all works and will be explained as you are shown to your room.

Mind the wildlife.. monitor lizards wander through the gardens from time to time.. ( I don't know who was more surprised.. me or the 2 meter long lizard..)

Swimming in the sea is best at high tide in my opinion... Low tide makes for great wading through the shallows.. reminder to wear water shoes.. plenty of sharp coral.. and no large waves. The beach is small and some loungers and mats are available. And for an alternative the hotel pool is equally as splashy.

The resort is in a garden setting against a hill and several of the rooms has more than a few steps up to, from, or to get too.. so reconsider if you have mobility concerns.

The restaurant does serve breakfast by choice of set menu - please be clear about your dietary requirements if any- they would be delighted to offer a suitable alternative.
They also advertise the same venue for dinner.

Staff are all smiles and eager to support in any way they can.

Overall a pleasant stay. Recommendable to the travellers that want something a little secluded and not so cookie-cutter-ish like the rest of the big bonanza brands that are slowly assimilating the island.

Great view, lovely breakfast. I love the moments we enjoyed the time at restaurant with the spectacular view. Just be sure to not book the small cottages, they are uncomfortably small with very uncomfortable beds and extremely slippery floors and nonadjustable small and slippery bathrooms. Basically cottage number 115 I was provided was slightly slanted towards right, it was extremely awkward but that allowed us not to spend any time in the cottage and explore outside which is not too bad too. But I really wish the cottage was welcoming enough to let us sit in the balcony and enjoy the lovely view. If I have to stay in the same cottage again, I'd never want to go back here.

We enjoyed our stay at this resort. It's clean and has a small infinity pool with a very nice view. The beach is small but clean and equipped with sun chairs. The breakfast was totally fine for us you had a variety of Fresh fruits, cereal, bread, eggs, bacon etc. So for us it was more then enough. The resort itself could use a little make over but for me personally as long as it's clean I don't mind some old tiles. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can rent scooters for 250 bht a day and also get massages on the beach. Just in case you relay on it the wifi is also really great!
The room is equipped with the following: kettle, tea and coffee assortment and cups, fridge, TV, safe, coat hangers, hairdryer, shampoo and soap, water 2 bottles a day, towels for the beach, towels every day.

If you are ABLE bodied and have no problem with steep slopes and steps this place is paradise. Yes the room interiors are a little dated, some would say authentic, but it all adds to the charm. Nestled between the Le Meridien and the Renaissance chain hotels this is where I'd rather stay. Perfect place to relax and unwind, little infinity pool and small very private bay with a few sun loungers. Lovely Reception staff, nothing is too much trouble. Bar prices not very clear n occasionally seems expensive compared to other places around tho may depend on what you order. This place is a gem and well worth a visit.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Lamai Bay View Resort. We stayed in one of the sea-view cottages. The cottage was clean and well-equipped, and you get some incredible, panoramic views of the Lamai beach. The restaurant was fairly decent and the breakfast was okay. The staff and the owners were nice, honest and friendly people. And you can access a small section of the Lamai beach from the resort. I think one minor criticism would be about the path to the beach. I reckon the path could be better marked and made more accessible in general. But overall, good resort!

We 'd been there to enjoy the last days at a resort to recover ourselves after the exhausting trip around Thailand and it really worked for us.
Airy rooms with confortable beds and a lighting restroom.
Just down the bungalows there' s such a cheerful private beach to laid back and rest or just read. On the other hand, the center is not far, you can arrive walking among the beach or just by the main road. (taxi service)
Breakfast was pretty complete. We had dinner once and was also delicious.
Last but not least, the Infinity pool in where you'll feel as one with the horizon and of course, your camara will be a need to catch awesome views!
