Wonderful small private resort to which we have frequently returned. We love the authentic Thai style bungalows facing the luscious garden (except for the cheaper category). Guests are treated with great individuality, and we have witnessed many of them returning as friends of Noola and Norman during one of our next stays.
We always stay in one of the top category bungalows that are not only very spacious but also have hot water, fan, excellent mattresses and topper, hammock, etc. A mosquito net is included even with the cheapest category. The resort is one row of houses back from Long Beach (Phra-Ae), a 3 km long wonderful stretch of almost entirely sandy beach with crystal clear warm water that you want to immediately jump into.
The sheltered location adds to the intimacy on the main restaurant terrace where no walk ins but only resort guests are served. Local expat friends regularly pass by for a chat or even dinner and we always love to hear what else bothers the locals, besides of exchanging with our fellow guests on the best things they did. Many charming little details can be discovered in that area, from home grown orchids to unexpected African art exhibits.
To fully recharge our batteries, we always stay for as many nights as possible: Waking up to the hourly changing sounds of the jungle is a unique experience. And after a relaxing day on the beach or exploring the island a new delicious dinner with several choices awaits you. In addition to well known favourites there are some extraordinary specialities on the menu that you will not find anywhere else on the island. For more information you can visit their FB site where you will also find Noola's mobile number.
