Tathata is one of the best restaurants on Koh Lanta. Their fresh coconuts are so sweet and their food is amazing. Good price, tasty, service is good and good portions. Their place is very homey, and the main server (male with slightly long hair) is always smiling. Makes you happier!

If you see a light box that reads only "THA", don't hesitate. It's the restaurant. The owner said the supplier screwed up their order. I hope they can fix it. I tried the restaurant's Thai food. Order was taken attentively for the level spiciness I preferred. Everything was delicious and came in good portions, delightful for the inexpensive price I paid. Recommended.

When we arrived it seemed closed but the restaurant quickly sprung into action. Really great service as they found plugs for our laptops to charge with. It’s exceptionally charming. We sat down near the owner’s bouncing baby grandson, not far from very well fed and friendly cats and a wall of old paper notes of various currencies. Felt very welcome. Ordered a margarita and kamakaza (their spelling) which very decent and inexpensive. The tempura chicken papaya salad was tasty too and the serving was massive, easily good enough for two people. Lovely, homey, family spot. A wonderful little gem. Oh and free mosquito repellent.

Lovely restaurant with fantastic atmosphere and extremely good thai food. They also offer pizza and some other western options. The owners are really delightful people and were very attentive. The outdoor seating has fans and insect repellent is provided which I thought was a nice touch.

Tasty food, love that they can customise spicy ness and that the owner bothered asking. Loved the Panang curry and pineapple fried rice!

One of the best places on Lanta, we stayed for hours, had drinks and food. There were cute cats and kids, the som tum dish (papaya salad) is huge and proper spicy (as long as they believe you can take the chilli) and the service incredibly kind. Would definitely go back.

Pros:
-lovely atmosphere
-friendly and caring staff (putting on extra fan and giving bug repellant for a more pleasant stay)
-diverse menu (for healthy eaters and vegetarians if needed)
-open until late - went to eat there after 23!
- cheap prices
-wifi

Cons:
-traffic noise (location right next to the road)
-long waiting time for even a salad
-no card payments

Overall, a pleasant stay, but wouldn't go back with empty stomach, since waiting time can be quite long. Loved my egg salad once it came though, very flavorful and filling :)
