Really good value for money. The beach below is not huge but you can easily get to Long Beach (at least when the tide i low). Rooms feel very clean and fresh. Really nice staff, I got an room upgrade too. Restaurant with bar is run by and Englishman, who’s also very nice. Nothing to complain about really.

A very nice, intimate hotel. A large, nice pool. Sympathetic owner and helpful staff. Delicious breakfasts :) rooms clean, spacious. Large bathroom. Hotel close to the beach. Saturday near the hotel is beach party, so it can be a bit noisy but usually the parties end around 1:00 so there is time to sleep and play. Around a lot of nice restaurants. I particularly recommend the Beachcomber restaurant. exquisite Thai but also Mexican dishes.

We booked a room there but we didn't stay in it. I wanted a concrete bungalow to avoid insects. In the bathroom there were spiders, in the room holes between walls and windows partly sealed with patches! I am surprised facility has quite good reviews on Booking. The receptionist was not very nice, like she didn't care. When we said we are leaving because of the conditions in the room she was not surprised - apparetly it often happens. In addition, the facility has some local conflicts - they separated the road from two sides with barbed wire. As it turned out, the beach in the nearest place is rather small and ugly, so it's good that we didn't stay there.

Most comfortable beds in the whole of Asia! Breakfast was good with a nice choice. The rooms were lovely and clean and the English receptionist was so lovely and helpful.
The only thing I would say is, I was hoping to be on a beach where I could swim so we chose this based on the fact it's on long beach but this section and a while after is all rocks and you cant swim. But that's just me :) all round lovely hotel tho

The Resort is located just 5 minutes from the Pier (by motorbike). You can reach everything you need without walking more than 5 minutes. The owner Conner is an amazing helpful men and acted like a friend. Pool is amazing and everything is clean and comfortable. We had relaxing 4 nights here and the only thing we were not ok with was the style of cleaning the rooms. Seems a little bit unmotivated...
Thanks for a great time Conner.

Our clothes were damaged in the hotel laundry. White clothes dyed and colorful lost their color. White shirt get orange color like t-shirt, so I think they did laundry of all clothes together using whitening product, because some lost color. Hotel staff did not want to accept complaints. The manager said that we were lying and our clothes were not new and would not help us in any way. We were not even apologized for this situation. The hotel is clean but I advise against staying because of the bad staff!

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. So much so we extended our stay by a few nights. The rooms/huts are so nice. Modern, clean and very comfortable. The beds are very soft and so snuggly! The huts overlook a lovely green lawn area and there is a very clean pool (probably the best we’ve been in whilst travelling SE Asia) with sun loungers. Location is excellent, at the bottom of Long Beach with only a 1 minute walk onto the beach. Staff are very friendly. They also rent scooters (250 baht p/d) and bicycles (150 baht p/d) which is great. Overall we’d definitely recommend staying here.

The reason I put 4 rather than 5 stars though was a few things that could be improved on:

- The biggest problem we had was with the laundry. It came back smelling SO bad. We had volunteered at the Lanta Animal Welfare organisation so our clothes smelt a little like dogs and cats, but when we got them back from the laundry service, they smelt much worse and a cheesy sort of smell too. This had rubbed off onto all the clothes we’d submitted (ones we hadn’t worn to LAW) and when we put them with the rest of our clothes, they all began to smell too. We would have spoken to the hotel directly about this at the time but when we realised the situation we were leaving so didn’t get the chance to let them rectify the situation. It seemed that they didn’t use enough soap at all. We’ve been travelling through SE Asia for 5 months and used countless laundry services and never had a problem like this before.

- They didn’t clean our room at all in the week we were staying there, even though we put on the “please clean our room sign”. Every day cleaners came in and made our beds but that was about all. When I asked for new towels they said I must go to reception to ask.

- The dispensers of shower gel and shampoo they provide in the bathroom we’re constantly almost empty - they didn’t top them up. On the last day we had nothing. The liquid soap provided by the sink was about a quarter full and heavily diluted with water when we arrived. A few days later it was finished so I threw the bottle in the bin (the one you throw toilet tissue into). After the cleaners had been in I found the same bottle back next to our sink, about a quarter full again of slightly diluted soap. This was disgusting and very stingy!

- They also only provide 1 toilet roll at a time to you, so if you run out in the night, or after 5pm when the reception closes, you have nothing else! When we asked for another roll in reception they told us to go find the cleaners to get one.

- In a booklet in our room it says every room gets free breakfast and free pool towels. But when checking in they said our booking didn’t get free breakfast and when asking about towels they said it would cost us 50baht each to rent.

- They don’t provide free coffee sachets in your room with the kettle. Not a big deal but pretty much everywhere else in Thailand offers this little service and it’s so appreciated when they do.

These are some simple improvements Soontreeya could make. Regardless, if we were to return to Koh Lanta we’d be very happy to stay here again and do recommend the place.
