Kamala Beach

Kamala beach is, in my opinion, Phuket's #1 family beach, and there are several reasons for that.

One of the main reasons is that swimming from the beach is very safe, also for children.

There are no dangerous currents. The waves are not as big and wild as you can experience on other beaches.

And there is a large area in the water that is shielded with ropes so you can swim in peace without worrying about Jet Ski and other boats.

And of course, there are lifeguards.

The beach is also quieter and quieter than many other beaches. And the beach is very popular with families with children.

My favourite Phuket beach and possibly one of my favourites world wide. Lovely scenery and nice atmosphere. Sadly like every touristy place starting to get a bit littered and lots of sales people around, but still a lovely place to be

This beach is more lively than Surin beach. Nice palm trees and walking path behind the sandy area. Restaurants along the way. Big waves though in august.

Average beach. sand quality is ok. appears to be a lot of trash mixed in with the sand. couple local places offering parasailing, jet skis, water skiing, umbrellas and lounge chairs for rent. bunch of huts offering food, drinks and knick knacks. average beach as far as beaches go. by midday it was busy but not crowded. appears there is a effluent, grey water lagoon emptying into the sea. water is very murky and full of algae. don’t recommend swimming here.

Cool looking beach, but too many tourists for my taste. We were just visiting Kamala for few hours.
