Rooms are spacious and quite run down, definitely in great need of some serious rennovations. The air-conditioning sounds like a boat engine in your room and the beds are some of the hardest I've slept in. Even after I turned off the air-conditioning I didn't sleep at all. During the day there was construction in the private condos in the floors above the hotel rooms. The signs in the hotel for the condo owners indicate this construction is allowed for many months out if the year. So if you like to relax in your room during the daytime, it's suggest choosing a different hotel. Breakfast is modest and asian-style with rice soup and "sausages". Eggs to order and some fruit. Parking area is dark and lacks security so seems a bit risky. Staff are friendly but speak only Thai so many customers had difficulty with questions and information. All said, however, the price is reasonable for the location. In the same building you have decent restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy and instant access to the beach. Balconies all have ocean view and are spacious. I probably wouldn't stay here again as there are many choices at the same price point which would provide a higher quality room and more comfortable/restful sleeping experience. If you're a deep sleeper, like to stay out all day and don't mind peeling paint and smudged walks, then you might be okay with the reasonable price and quick access to good and activities.
