I spent time on New Year, Special Occasion, which the Palace provide Parking Place at North of SanamLuang. Very convenience but have to walk in a long way might be a bit tough for senior if their walking is not strong, suggest to prepare wheel chair with you also.

Remarks : After special occasion might be no parking to reserve for.

A lot of squirrels can be seen, nothing special. I still rate it kind of high, because it was cool to see local people run there.

We went to the Sanam Luang at sunset on Tuesday in November. The Exhibition for the late King Bhumibol was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The people were nice. The bottle of water was given out free. We spent two hours at the exhibit. We took many beautiful photos there. The area was nice and clean.

National Father's Day. A big celebration on Sanam Luang. When there is no Celebration, it is an open field. Good to take a rest, relax and have a look on the Grand Palace. Specially by night it is wonderful and you can make awesome pictures.

This old royal palace in Bangkok opens publicly for tourists. One you need to remember is wearing long jeans, trousers, or long skirt otherwise you have to spend money buying long trousers in front of the royal palace. You need to wear appropriately. There is strict law and you need to be obedient. A sacred place you can visit.

A big lawn used for special events. If no event takes place, than you can sit and relax close to the Palace area. Good light to take Palace photos is late in the afternoon. Here impression from the light and sound show to honor the new King’s coronation. Beautiful.
