The place to go if you want to emerge yourself in the Thai kitchen. We did a vegan morning cooking class which exceeded every expectation. Pon was an amazing host and the class was full of surprises. Make sure you come hungry, especially for the morning class!

We ate here one evening. Cooking school looked good but it said restaurant and we wandered by one evening and were welcomed in and warmly greeted to be able to eat. We also helped cook our first two dishes, well we stirred or grated vegetables...which my wife and I loved too. Lovely food and lovely people, good price too. Really recommended. May yet eat there again this week!

We enjoyed an amazing afternoon with Pon at her cooking school! We learned with her how to make 4 amazing vegetarian meals that were more delicious than anything we have ever tasted in all our visit to Thailand. Extraordinarily delicious cooking full of rich flavors accompanied by Pon's exuberant personality. Can't recommend this experience highly enough. It was the gastronomic highlight of our stay in Thailand.

The whole experience is so enjoyable for me and my family (maybe the best we had in Bangkok). The environment is cosy in a real family living setting. Got a real touch of Thai family backyard kitchen. The owner is warm and passionate in food. The tranquil and peaceful Thai life made me feel like moving to live there :)

Another great experience was the local market visit with Tuk-Tuk. Kids simply love it. Got a chance to mix with friendly local people and listen to the melodic Thai way of selling at the market. Korp Kun (Thank you)!

What an amazing lifetime experience! I found this place through Google Maps and after reading the reviews I emailed the cooking school. They responded quickly and informed me about their different cooking classes. I took the express class for 1000 Baht, without visiting the market. Luckily the ‘mise en place’ was done on forehand which made it easier for me and the other 2 students to cook al recipes within the timeframe of 2 hours. I recommend everyone to go there. Pon is a fantastic chef with a charismatic personality.

First it's important to note that although Green Garden Cooking School website is in French they definitely do classes in English. Just send them an email to ask about available dates.
We had a delightful morning with Pon, her son Oo and aunties. The class is held in Pon's home in a small street not far from the river in the old city area. Easy to find by tuktuk or walking. We were staying about 10-15min walk away so it was a very relaxing start for us. The class begins with a trip to the local market (Thewet) which is a wet market - fresh produce, veggies, fruit, fish, meat etc. It's not hectic at all - the local people shopping - and Pon knows mostly everyone.
Then back to Pon's house to prepare the dishes. We cooked 2 different kinds of soups, 2 curries, made a green curry paste, spring rolls and a dessert. We also asked to make Som Tum as we have become addicted to it while in Thailand!
Pon prepares all the veg u0026 other ingredients in advance so the emphasis is on how easy it is to make the deliciousness come together quickly. And before you know it you're eating a fab dish. So don't eat too much before you come otherwise you won't fit it all in!
This is a unique experience because you are in a down to earth, happy family home that doubles as a home stay and pop up restaurant. There are family and friends coming u0026 going all through the class and a constant stream of chatting u0026 laughter.
Pon and her family have much they are pleased to share about food u0026 Thai life in general so it isn't simply a cooking class. It is a lot more - an experience with heart u0026 soul.
Sanuk maak maak :)
Ps Pon can make her classes vegetarian or vegan on request.
