Baby Dancing Elephant…

We reached this place around 11 pm with a city tour package and our guide directed us to go to trekking with elephants. We were around eight people and it was a good experience with elephant. They have many elephants and they said they are treating very well. When I checked this google reviews I have found many degrading review of this place but personally, I didn’t find any abuse. They have huge area to walk around and they have enough to eat. This place have small restaurant and cool bar. We have tried Cold tender coconut water it was great. After trekking, there is a monkey show ,it was a great experience. There are two monkeys and they have trained very well. They acted unique tricks. After that we went to see baby elephant show – This is the best part of this tour our group having small kids they have enjoyed so much. They have feed these elephants. We feed this elephant with banana and it was great. I think we were spend nearly one hour and it was a unique experience for our life time. The abusing controversy is not required since this place is licensed to do these things.

We were dragged here as the part of a bigger tour to Big Buddha and Phuket Town. We weren't told that this was one of those places offering elephant trekking. Elephants are kept in attrocious conditions - their legs are tied to one another (photo). Their environment is abysmal. There is a shooting range just next to their 'home'. Best to be avoided. Visit one of the elephant sanctuaries in the north in the vicinity of Chiang Mai.

This place is very scenic. Good for kids. They have elephant ride, elephant show, monkey show.

You should never go to a place where you can ride the elephants. They are keeping the elephants chained to their ankle. You can feel their suffering.

I left the camp feeling very depressed. Elephants looked miserable and abused. The babies were even chained up and forced to perform tricks. I walked out of there as soon as I could. Will NEVER go again. Please visit a legit elephant sanctuary instead, where your money goes to a good cause and the elephants are treated well.

To much commercial. The elephants are not well treated As the guides are using sharp object to move those elephant which making their ear and eyebrows bleeding. Also the guides were trying to selling us .objects made from ivory and other local stuffs

In general, all these rides with riding and feeding elephants are immoral entertainment for people who do not care about animals or think that they love animals.
But this place is just a terrible place, such a bad and mocking attitude with elephants - they are chained to one place, the carts are tight so they cut the skin of the elephants, the elephants are beaten ... where are the animal rights advocates looking?
