Karon Beach Roundabout

Not the place to be at the moment. Very quiet, very little to do, lots of shops, hotels u0026 restaurants closed or shut down due to covid. I have stayed in Karon before, can't believe what effect covid has made, just doesn't feel like Thailand as it should be.
Visited the neighbouring beaches of Kata u0026 Patong, quiet, sightly busier, better atmosphere. However, stayed at the Hotel Woraburi, thoroughly enjoyed my stay, excellent value for money.

Well overall Karon has great beach but in my case I stayed at Patong first and then moved to Karon and it felt like a step down... Not much variety of restaurants... Hotels are great though...

Very clean and beautiful beach. There is a lot of water attractions. Most of the people families with children. It is quite big beach so you can easily find place to lay.

Karon beach is quieter than Patong and meals are approximately half the cost (around 100b per meal). I spent time walking around with a friend and found it very worth the change of pace. Can't comment on the beach as it was raining (it is the wet season)

Marks the entrance (or exit) of Karon Beach.
Beach itself is very peaceful, even there is some water activities going on such as Jet Skys and Parasailing. Not other mayor stuff around to complain of. Sunbeds u0026 parasols available at 200 Bht.

Fantastic local place to holiday. Brilliant local market on every Tuesday evening. Fabulous beach walks. Lovely Temple to visit and a huge serpent to admire. Local bus to Phuket for 30 thai baht each way...connecting buses to Karta, Patong, Chalong and other areas as well. Much cheaper than a tuk tuk or air con car.
