The location is simply perfect to where we want to be as per our itinerary. As we're doing outdoor activities most of the time the room is sufficient for backpackers. We loved the neighborhood around the hotel. Every staff member we met gave us a friendly greeting and a smile. Had to wait for the rooms as I arrive early.

Honestly this place was completely fine for what you pay for. The staff were helpful with my bags, the bed was clean. The bathroom was basic but clean. Good shower pressure and they stored my bags for the morning after checkout. If you’re looking for a cheap place to put your head down, it’s ok.

We spent there 4 nights and no one cleaned our room, it was really difficult to regulate or turn off an air conditioner. There are some cafes and bar around where there is a loud music. Plus for location (its close to the pier and beach), cafe downstairs and really friendly staff.

The fan kept the room nice and cool and we had our own balcony. We got a warm welcome at the hotel. The front desk person was very friendly and helpful. You feel the genuine warmth from all the associates there. Thanks for ruining my experience of Koh Phi Phi October guesthouse.

I stayed here for 4 days recently with my wife. I stayed here last year and this place was cool for a place to crash. Prices for weekday stay was very very affordable. The bathroom smelt of urine when we arrived so we tried to keep the doors open to ventilate.

We traveled as a family and we booked a suite. We booked this hotel through a website separate from the guesthouse. The hotel had a good location, for sure. Transportation was offered to areas of interest. As we're doing outdoor activities most of the time the room is sufficient for backpackers.

I've been to many hostels and this was the worst ever! We booked three nights there. When we arrived it was already a challenge to check in, because the guy at the "reception" nearly didn't speak english. Then he said to us, he could'nt put me and my brother together in a room. But after we complained (and the communication was still bad) he gave us one key and guided us to a room (more Info to the room later). At this time there was only one free bed and he said, we have to wait. So we waited in a room where the air con switches on at 6pm and it was like 3pm. Because we were very tired of the cruise to Phi Phi, we had to rest in one bed when finally one of our roommates came in, who was directly kicked out of the room again, so that we had two beds. Of course he was very angry and told us, it was the second time this happened to him. So we had two beds now and I had to remind the guy from the hostel 2 times to change the bed sheets.
The room was more than dirty. There was mold on my pillow!!!! Additionally the were heaps of small insects everywhere: in the bathroom, on my bed and later on and in my belongings, something like small ants.
So far...but the next surprise came on the second morning, when the guy came in our room and said we had to check out and tried to kick us out. We said no, we booked 3 nights and he came with some documents. After a longer discussion and after I showed him the proof on the Hostelword app he agreed with laughing and left.
If you want to go to Koh Phi Phi DON'T go the October House!!
