Lovely retro restaurant on the Kok river bank. Just 10-15 minutes from city downtown, it's recommended for those looking for nice place for lunch and dinner with friends/family/couple.
Food, bakery, beverages, drinks are all ready to serve as request.

It is a beautiful restaurant that serves Thai and Western food. I sat in the open air garden table and the atmosphere was relaxing. The waiters spoke good English and there was no difficulties in getting what we wanted. Price is reasonable.

The name of this restaurant is "Romance Restaurant" in English but in Thai this is "สวนกุหลาบเชียงราย" which means the garden of the roses. Probably because just before the terrace is a a nice strip of land covered with roses. The terrace overlooks a pleasant lawn going gently down to the Mae Kok river where the kids have room to run and play . The place is clean not luxurious but very comfortable . They have as well a comfortable and air conditioned room for the summer season.The food is typically Thai. The Chef knows is job. All the recipes I tried were perfect. The taste exact. the ingredients fresh and the cooking of meat and fish correct. The prices are medium but frankly not excessive comparing with the quality. They have 2 different menus one for lunch and one for the evening with pictures but still with no translations in English. For the amateurs of beer they have cheap tap Singha beer. Something rather rare in Thailand to be noticed. In the evening the ambiance is particularly romantic . The service is efficient fair fast polite but weak in English. The overall feeling is very good.
