Small Temple, the Ordination Hall is closed, but the Assembly Hall is open and worth seeing. Lovely wooden structure, colourful murals and beautiful embossed shutters along the sides of the main hall.

This is not a typical tourist temple which has many fancy statues. It is quite small but it has its own history to tell. Met a friendly volunteer working there and we talked for quite some times about Buddhism principles and difference between southern and northern Buddhism. It is quite pleasant to just go there and enjoy the atmosphere. I particular like the wall printings which depict the journal of Buddha. I strongly recommend people to visit.

This is a smaller wat, with a large white Buddha statue with naga dragons in the yard. There are beautiful paintings inside, and several crystal or glass seated Buddhas. There is a chedi and small cemetery in the back. Come in the morning if possible, because like most wats, the entrance faces sunrise and catches the light best. Beware of the mean dogs that live in back. They are loose, with no collars or leashes, and the lady was trying to restrain them with her bare hands - one nipped my leg anyway.

I was very lucky to find this beautiful temple and meet Veerayuth who is a volunteer there. He was so kind and took a lot of time to explain me everything about the history of the temple and the stunning paintings inside. He also explained a lot about Buddhism in general and patiently answered all my questions. I had a lovely time and learned so much thanks to him. I highly recommend to visit the temple and if you are as lucky as me you might meet Veerayuth as well.

This temple is in the center of the city, the temple is not very large, but it is a beautiful and peaceful. The prominent point in front of the temple is a large Bodhi tree that is worshiped by visitors. You come to Chiang Mai, this temple is another temple that you should not miss to visit.
