It's a nice a place to stay! Nice room, clean and no bed bugs! Very good location but the best thing it has vipa is the people who work there. They are very very helpful, any doubt of any topic you have they can help you to solve them, from booking a tour to just get a taxi. We did the check out and walked around all day to wait the moment to take the bus at night and they shared us a bathroom to take a shower before travel, lovely people there!

The hotel is not quite what I expected based on other reviews. It's more "tired" than expected being in need of some TLC with the decore. A really good clean and service of fittings and fixtures the rooms would go along way. Saying that the bedding was clean and fresh, some toiletries were supplied and the room had a great air con as well as a fan. Overall about right for the price and is just off Loi Khao Road.
There is no meals available in the hotel.

Close to town center. Large rooms, but very outdated. Mosquitoes come in as they please since the vent isn't screened. Toilets have low water pressure so flush as much as possible, but watch out for the air that shoots the toilet water back up. The water comes out brown, so you'll have to run it a bit.
Otherwise a decent place to stay for about $15.
The staff is friendly, but usually in their phones as are much of the workers in Thailand.

Just spent 23 days in Chiang Mai and stayed at the Vipa House Hotel.
This is a great hotel for those on a tight budget and a step up from the backpacker places.
Location is perfect for the Night Baazar and regular markets with money exchange booths just round the corner. The hotel staff were excellent and offer many different tour options.
Wiĺl definitely stay again.

Excellent location, great staff. Clean, comfortable beds, good prices. Amenities extra. Dutfan is wonderful! They will arrange tours if you wish.

To be honest, trust the bad reviews, yes you don’t pay much, but it’s the creepiest hotel I’ve been in Thailand! The walls in the room were dirty, had a bad smell, everything looked super old. The worst is they had a problem with their sewage, so the water came out a light brown color, very disgusting. We left, don’t take the chance!

It is outdated but the staff are friendly and helpful the bed is comfy and they have good curtains which block out the morning light. Good location but quiet with no disturbing corridor noise. There may be better options available but I thought it was OK.
