Very nice laid-back Sabai Thai Western restaurant-bar. The staff is very friendly and approachable as is the owner. There's a good selection of Thai food and western food for breakfast lunch or dinner.

It's a nice place for small groups of perhaps ten or less but you'd probably need a reservation.
There's also the local people from the neighborhood condos and apartments... but everyone is welcome. Backpackers can get breakfast at 8...the place is open until midnight. Also popular with tourists from the hostels and guesthouses around nearby. it's on Soi Ratchapruek just a block off of Huay Kaew Road near Kad Suan Kaew a few blocks away.

They run specials... 20TB a skewer BBQ on Saturdays. Things like that.

Free pretty fast wireless.

I have been coming here for a year. Same cook, Khun Joe. He is just great and loves cooking.

I urge anyone to come check it out. Best breakfast near KSK mall.

So many delicious meals in a wonderfully friendly restaurant. Another reviewer said home away from home when in Chiang Mai. That is my feeling also, I always feel like I have another family. Might be because they call me Uncle Gary. But among other things the breakfasts are the best western style breakfasts I have had in Thailand. Joe actually does crisp bacon and decent home fries that seem to be beyond most restaurants here. And the Country Scramble is terrific.

I don't usually write reviews but I've been coming here for a long time and I see that the last review was left by someone who made some incorrect points. First of all the portions here are plenty big enough. Actually they are bigger than most places. And the food is not expensive at all. The staff are nice, yes, but that's not the only reason they are have many loyal customers (including me). The food, the price and the service are right. Plus they quite often show tennis on the TV - bonus points for that!

I eat here almost every days and food is always good, cheap price (around 120thb/head) and correct service.

Nice to sit, have a cold beer and people watch. There is a local expat crowd that hangs out as well. The staff are friendly and efficient. We came for supper one night but we're a bit disappointed in the food. The massaman was very mild to the point of bland. There were more potatoes and onions then anything which made it even more so. The western food looked quite good but we hadn't gone back to try it.

Just had the ribeye steak for lunch. I swapped out the mashed potatoes for a side salad. It also came with boiled vegetables. Everything was delicious. Will definitely be back again.
