This is a very decent three-four star hotel. It is beautifully decorated in old style with lots of art items. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need. (I had suite). Breakfast need to be pre ordered one day in advance, but I think it is good, as it minimizes food waste, which is already too big on the planet. It also prevents overeating, which is very good in Thailand with all the options around.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
What makes me sad that it is only three star, as some improvements could make it more comfortable.
For example pool area is not very swim inviting. In the room the balcony couch does not look clean and had a lot of weird stains, so we avoid sitting there and prefer chairs. In-room mosquito repellent could have been nice touch. When we checked in, there was also huge dead beetle on the balcony floor, half eaten by ants. Bathroom has a bit weird smell unfortunately it is quite common problem in Chiang Mai’s old city.
Minibar is not present so fridge is free to store there more delicious fruits from market nearby. However as in many more budget places, fridge shuts down together with all electricity when you are leaving the room, so be careful of eating that yoghurt you bought two days ago.
Overall, despite above mentioned details, room is comfortable and quite good to sleep. On one night it was quite noisy because of some action happening on the street near hotel, but most of the time it is quite quiet.
