Small family run store. Only sells one type of dish Khao Soi. There’s a menu for choice of chicken pork and beef but when the bowl of noodles came we were served only Chicken. But it was simple yet delicious. The meat was tender and soft. Note that in the afternoon can be quite hot.

This lovely little mom and pop restaurant is just around the corner from my hotel, BED Phrasingh (highly recommend for young, child free travelers not on a tight budget) and I wanted one more sweet taste of khao soi before I left Chiang Mai.
The chicken drumstick in the bowl was so tender I could eat it with chopsticks! The noodles on top were perfectly fried, the noodles in the soup were tender but still had a bit of chew, and the broth was perfectly spiced, if not seasoned. I added some sugar to mine but I like my khao soi a bit sweeter. Luckily there were seasonings on the table so I could adjust it myself.
The people who ran the place were really nice and made me a Thai iced milk tea to go with my soup. They also had a very nice cat, which earns them bonus points in my books.

Khao Soi worth finding.

Located on a narrow Soi in the East side of Chiang Mai's Old City this modest restaurant turns out Khao Soi to write home about.

Flavorful broth with, for me, a good balance of broth to coconut milk. Tender chicken, both noodles cooked to perfection. Not overly spicy. Prik comes on the side for more heat.

Onions, limes and pickled cabbage accompaniments all fresh.

Lovely family run food from the front of their home and the food was so delicious and well priced. Best khao soi I have ever had! Will always come back here if I am in Chiang Mai.

One of the top 3 Khao sois I’ve had in my short time in the city (during which eating as much Khao soi as possible has been my mission). Broth is a little thinner than some but very flavorful. Noodle texture was good. The pork comes with pork meatballs and roasted pork. Chicken is with a chicken leg. Come early if you want the beef. It seems to sell out fast.

Definitely include this on your tour of the best khao soi places. Down a very small side street, lovely family have turned their garage/carport into a khao soi restaurant. Delicious, generous with the chicken; not too spicy but they provide extra spice if you want. Postman was eating there when I arrived - those guys know where to eat good and cheap.

Delicious Khao soi! Super cheap and tucked away in a quiet area, felt like we stumbled across a local gem :)
