Discovered this little gem for lunch today apparently it is one of the oldest places for Khao soi in Chiang Mai and has been around for 40 years! I must say the Khao soi here is very tasty, I loved the crispy noodle on top, soft noodle underneath. The broth is very tasty and all together is a very hearty lunch. Loved it, very reasonable price as well. I will definitely head back before leaving Chiang Mai!

Taken here by the local, it is where they would come when they eat khao soi. Ordered khao soi with pork, deep fried shrimp cakes, and pork stay. All 3 dishes are tasty, khao soi is just a bit spicy but not too much.

Hidden gem for beef khao soi! This restaurants has been open for decades and their khao soi is one of their specialties! The broth was rich and creamy and beef was super tender. Perfect place to get some lunch in Chiang Mai! And one of my new favorite khao sois in the city!

Great taste, cheap price. One of the best Khao Soi in town.

Enjoy authentic Chiang Mai noodle and have with fried shrimp. It goes together. Another recommended dish is Nam Ngiao rice noodle with spicy pork sauce and. Thai northern dish. Must try!!!

Solid menu and execution, but overrun by tourists. I would actually rate this place three and a half stars, but I'm rounding up.
I've also come to the conclusion that Chiang Mai locals actually don't eat khao soi that often - it's just a famous local dish of which everybody claims to have a best/original/unique version. To be brutally honest, it's just a tamed down version of laksa and usually not worth it.
However, this restaurant serves many other things as well, which is why it gets a good rating. These things are not on any English language menu as far as I could tell, but they are on the wall menus in Thai and some are viewable in pots as you walk into the restaurant. These include shrimp patties, vegetable and noodle dishes, stewed meats, and other interesting things. If you are not visiting with a Thai, I suggest looking at what others are ordering or flipping through photos on the FB or Maps page for the restaurant and pointing.
