Oh is the best! He really cares about people and is also an amazing cook! He called several travel agencies for me and helped me so much in the short time I stayed here. I will never forget it! Thank you!

Location very good, near tourist area, easy to find, rather quiet environment. 7-11 nearby. Small place, rather old building, not very orderly nor sparkling clean, but has kinda homy feeling. Downstairs cafeu0026bar, upstairs the dorms and private room. Shared bathrooms. Spent very comfortable 3 nights in female dorm. Not much space, yet ideal for backpacker and light traveller. Good wifi, ac room during night, convenient sockets near each bed, hot shower, laundry by request (extra charge), excellent bicycle rent for free, motorcycle rent not free. Host was very warm, sincerely attentive to guests' needs and very helpful. Excellent English speaking. Regret being too busy getting around so never had chance to try their menu. Love the creaking wood stairs and floor, the comfy mismatched home slippers, the funny bathroom lock.

Great Hostel with nice Cafe which serves delicious food. Rooms v clean and well designed. Really good location within the city. Staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you. Really nice, new hostel in Chiang Mai.

‘Oh’, (pronounced Ho) the man who runs Jao, is so lovely and sweet. He helped us out a lot and he is so great to talk to. He makes an incredible americano with tasty Thai coffee beans. ☕️ ❤️
The bar/cafe common area is really beautifully designed. It’s a really quaint old building so the old fashioned vibe fits really well. We stayed in the mixed dorm which was fine. There are two showers and two toilets but the hostel is small and cozy so it’s more than enough.

Best host I have ever had. He is reaaaally nice and willing to help whenever you need. Nice woody decor. There is a small bar/coffee shop on the first floor. 711 is nearby. There are many local restaurants in the area. About 15 mins to walk to Night Baazar and 25 mins to walk to Sunday Night Market. Free rental bicycle.

Staff was welcoming.
Room was ok, the bed was average level of comfort.
The only minus is room was extremely hot as i came here in April and AC worked within time limit that made me couldn't go back and take a rest.
Overall there is nothing would make me recommend or not recommend this place.

Owner of of the place is super friendly and nice and knows english fluently. its the one of the cheapest places i found in chiang mai and the location is within walking distance to the center.
if you want a quiet stay in chiang mai and are not looking for people and noise this is the place to stay
